Taking her time, she made her way to Morgan’s side. Kissing his cheek, she whispered, “We need to leave.” She leaned back with a smile and pretended to wipe her lipstick off his skin.

She motioned to Roark while she acted engaged in conversation with her uncle. “He touched me. I’m pretty sure he put a tracker or bug on me. Back of my upper arms. Get close and find it now.”

“It sounded like you had plenty to say to that sick fuck,” Roark murmured. She nodded. “Got it…wait, another one.”

Amanda winced as he pulled the skin tags away but laughed warmly. “Get people here or he’ll make sure I’m the only one who leaves this place and it won’t be with any of you.”

Six minutes later, Hayden appeared at her side in a tuxedo. Cheerfully, she said, “Darling! You made it!”

He stared into her eyes and asked, “Rough night?”

“A touch, I have to admit.”

“Let me take you away from all this, Amanda.”

She truly hoped he didn’t mean some bunker in the desert.
