“We should take her to Elias. He’ll be able to help us,” he says.

It’s a good idea but Elias is about as likely to help us as a stick is. He won’t mess with the balance of nature.

But Micaela looks hopeful and I don’t want to dash that yet. There’s a chance and I don’t have a better idea.

We get dressed. Micaela ripped my dress shirt open but I just throw my jacket on. Since it’s Halloween, it works with my costume.

“Let’s go,” I say and the three of us rush to the back door.

My car is parked out back. Off to Elias we go.

Micaela

9:00 p.m.

These guys are incredible. I’ve been dying for connection and now I have two guys who claim to want me forever. They even want to help me stay. There’s no way I’m turning that down.

I doubt their ability to actually do it but I don’t know a lot about supernaturals. Maybe this Elias person will actually be able to help.

“Who is Elias to you?” I ask when we get in the car.

Oz is driving but Silas refused to be apart from me. He pulled me into his lap in the front seat. He nuzzles against my cheek. .

“We aren’t that close with him. He’s a warlock who has helped us in the past. Warning, he’s moody and not the friendliest,” Oz explains.

“He’s a warlock, and you’re a vampire?” I guess, looking at Oz. He did drink my blood after all.

It’s ironic he’s dressed as a vampire for Halloween; he had red around his lips and neck earlier, though now it’s been replaced by my fresh blood.

“Yes,” he says, flashing his fangs at me.

I turn to look at Silas. “And what are you?” I ask as it’s hard to tell just from the mark on my neck.

“I’m a werewolf.”

“So we are all dressed as our species? I guess we really are made for each other,” I say with a wink.

They both laugh. Silas continues nuzzling me.

Oz says, “We really are.”

We pull up to a warehouse building that looks abandoned. It’s surrounded by dead trees and plants. The windows are dark and filled with shadows that play tricks on your eyes. The lights are flickering and it looks haunted.

I fucking love it.

If I go back to being a ghost, I’m coming back here to haunt people. That is, if I separate from my mates. I may just have to haunt them and make sure they stay away from other females. The idea of it makes me feel feisty.

“I can feel your possessiveness through the bond,” Oz comments as we get out of the car. He wraps an arm around me. “I’m not sure what made you feel that way but do not worry, we only want you.”

My heart lightens slightly but let’s see how long that lasts when they can’t see or talk to me.

We walk to the door of the warehouse but it creaks open before we can knock. There’s no one there.

“Do we just go in?” I ask.

If I didn’t know all the ghosts were corporeal tonight and living it up, I would think this place is haunted.
