Placing my lips at her cheek, I breathe her in. Kiss the warm skin.
Fuck, her soft scent invades my senses and I bite down on my lower lip to keep in a groan.
“Lily, baby, let me sleep a bit more. We’ll Baby Shark it up after you wake up Sandy.”
“I’m not Lily.” At my words, Millie purses her lips. Her brows furrow as she fights to come out of the deep fog she’s under. “Open your eyes for me, sweetheart. Please.”
“Jet? How is that possible?”
“I’m here, Millie.”
Below me her entire body freezes, and the flesh of her arms fill with goose bumps. Her breathing escalates. “This can’t be right. Why would you be here?”
Running my nose down her neck, I lay a tiny kiss at the base of her spine. “Because I owe you an apology.”
“Then I know for sure I am dreaming.”
