Page 98 of Seeking Two Lovers

She was good.

We were good, thank fuck.

With a flutter of her fingers, she was gone, and I locked up behind her, grinning like an idiot at the door.

The back of my neck tingled, and I turned to find the kitchen empty even though I could feel him. Tension lifted those hairs, and I drew a breath to steady myself.

“Come on out, B.”

Blaine sauntered around the corner, gray sweats hanging low on his hips.

For the first time, I allowed myself to check him out from the tips of his bare toes, up over his delicious bulge, all the way to his sleepy eyes that peered at me with a million and one questions.

Stifling silence thickened the air between us, and I needed to know his thoughts more than oxygen in my lungs.

“How much did you hear?” I asked, my voice surprisingly calm.

“Every word.” Blaine was quiet in answering, his eyes unwavering on mine. “Is it true?”

Nerves woke inside me, teetering me on the edge of what could be the end—or the beginning. “Which part?”

He held himself in check, eyes shadowed, his focus dropping to my mouth. “How long?” he whispered.

So that was his focus…

“I’ve been in love with you since forever, B,” I admitted, praying like fuck he wouldn’t abandon me in my most vulnerable. “There was no one moment for me, and…”

“And?” he pressed when I didn’t know how to explain the desire and fear all mingling together in my guts.

I released an unsteady exhale, my hands clenched at my sides. “The thought of you falling in love with Lily and leaving me has me twisted up tight inside.”

“I would never leave you,” Blaine stated as though it was a given, his brow furrowed as he once more gave me his eyes.

He hadn’t told me he loved me in return, not that I’d expected him to, but I would be content with whatever he did have to give. First, though, I needed to make sure he remained steady.

“What we did—”

“It’s fine,” he said, cutting me off. “Don’t worry about it.”

Red flooded his cheeks, settling my insides the slightest bit.

“Just fine?” I pushed, needing clarity of what his flush suggested in my brain.

He swallowed hard, his shoulders tensing, but he didn’t shift his attention off my face.

Nor did he speak.

My gaze dropped to his sweats. A defined outline of his hardening dick pressed on the cotton material, causing my own length to swell back up.

More than fine, his thickness all but spoke his desires out loud.

“Christ, B.” Throat tightening, I met his stare, energy rising to crackle between us like a livewire.

I took one step…two…Blaine didn’t back away as I slowly advanced into his personal space. No hesitancy filled his eyes over darkness that ought to be rising in his mind.

He’d shared it all, and the fact he allowed me that close with sexual intent flooded me with unfathomable thankfulness for his trust.

It was as though he’d fixed in his heart and mind that he wasn’t submitting to me but rather giving freely, same as he’d done with his kisses in Lily’s presence.
