Page 116 of Seeking Two Lovers

“Blaine,” the barista called out my name, and I retrieved my order, able to grab the carry tray with one hand since Lily clasped my other tight to hers. Damn butterflies tickled my insides at the thought she clung to me—didn’t want to let me go—uncaring it was in front of her coworkers.

Complete acceptance of me regardless of my messy state and sweat stink.

“How long do you have until break is over?” I asked as she tugged me toward the exit as though anxious to get me alone.

“About five more minutes. Enough time to climb in that truck and kiss you senseless.”

I chuckled and stumbled after her in her haste.

“Holy hell, it’s hot out here,” she grumbled as the sun hit the tops of our heads.

The second we climbed into the parked truck, I turned the AC on full blast.

Lily angled to face me in the passenger seat, scowling at the console and its pile of miscellaneous shit atop it. “Hmph.”

I held the coffees up near my left shoulder, safe out of harm’s way in case she came scrambling over like she appeared ready to do.

“Dash.” She pointed, and I did as told, setting the holding tray down.

A quick shuffle, and she did land on my lap facing me. Her bright smile lit my insides and woke my tired dick. “Hey.” She wound her hands around my neck, pressing her chest against mine.

“Hey back—I’m filthy.”

“And I don’t give a shit,” she snipped.

Well, in that case…

I gripped her ass, tugging her closer so her core pressed against my groin.

“Mmm.” She licked over my lips, a mere tease, pulling back when I leaned in for more. “So, you and Grey, huh?”

Heat rushed through me, without doubt turning my face red, but I held her gaze and nodded.

He’d told her.

I’d let her know by text too the next morning.

I just hadn’t discussed anything in detail over the phone with her.

“Things are…okay?” Hesitancy replaced the happiness in her eyes.

The sudden need to soothe her anxiety had my arms wrapping around her and hugging her tight. I breathed in the scent of vanilla and coffee beans. “Better than okay, but having to wait for you to join us is killing me.”

“Grey’s not enough, huh?” she murmured against my damp neck and took a quick taste with her tongue. “Mmm. Salty.”

Chuckling, I set her back a bit and cocked my head, studying her. Lily usually wasn’t so…indirect. “Are you fishing?”

She shrugged, but none of her usually silliness twinkled her eyes. “Maybe?”

“He loves me. I love him,” I stated what she already knew, “and we’re both falling for you. Like you two discussed over the phone Sunday night, we’re all a bunch of greedy lovers. Being with him is…fuck, it’s magic, but there’s always something missing. That’s you, Lily.”

I cradled her face in my hands, hating that wetness welled in her eyes, the insecurity that still hounded her even though both Grey and I assured her we wanted her in our lives.

“I’m not Levi. He’s not Zeke.”

She nodded, a tear sliding down her cheek.

I kissed it away, and she allowed me the gift of her soft lips. So damn sweet, she opened to me, sagging against my chest.
