“What happened, I thought you were happy?” I ask, because we only spoke two days ago, and she said she was happy. My phone beeps, and I look at the message from Anika.

Anika - Just a heads up, Hayley hit Andi. David and I have it covered.

“I’m sure Anika-”

“She’s just messaged me. I’m so sorry, can I ask what happened?” Hayley’s hit before, but that's always towards me, never to anyone else.

“She thought I was hiding her grandbaby from her, because you weren't home,” Andi tells me, and all I can do is shake my head. This is a new one for her, and I don’t even know how to deal with this.

“I’m sorry. Anika said she is there with Hayley. I will get your pay sent over to you.” I end the call and text Anika to say thank you.

Walking back over to Aiden, I give him a smile, and I know he doesn’t believe my joy, but he’s not asking me what’s happened either, so that’s good.

“Shall we go get some dinner?” Lee asks.

“Please, I’m starving.” I walk along with Aiden, and I look up at him because I can feel his eyes locked on me. “Hayley hit Andi, so now I have to find a new caretaker to help me,” I tell him, then look away, because I don’t even know what else to say to him.

For tonight, all I want to do is enjoy my dinner with Aiden and his brother. I will work out a plan for Hayley tonight when I get home. See what I can do to help her. I could speak to the doctor again and ask if they have anything else which can help me. I need to settle my life when it comes to Haley before this pregnancy gets too much for me and I don’t have the energy for it.

Chapter Twenty-One

Aiden

Two weeks have gone by, and work has been amazing. My app has passed the first round of tests and will be starting round two in the next few days. David has got everything ready, and I’ve finished the last few things which needed to be fixed.

Shows if you have a plan, then run with it, and don’t let anyone stop or get in the way of it. I had plans for the company, just like I had plans for every one of my apps.

I lost a lot of money, and I haven’t made even half of that back yet, but I will. In time, I will. This new app will be a success, because the buzz around it has already been crazy. The marketing team has done everything right to make sure people want to know about this app. We’ve even got a few celebrities and some fitness influencers to help with the launch, and they will be taking part in the trail on stage three, the last stage when it’s done, and want to make sure that there is nothing more to change.

“Mr. Kane, Saylor is on her way up.” I hear through the intercom.

I look up from the paperwork to see my beautiful woman smiling and laughing with David. I love when she has her legs out, and I can’t wait for her to have a bump. She's going to look so sexy, I won’t be able to keep my hands off her. As I reach her eyes, I see her smiling at me. I’ve been caught checking her out, and she sticks her tongue out at me, making me laugh.

As they both reach the door, I stand up to walk over to her. David gives her a kiss on the cheek, then leaves, and when she turns to face me, I smile when she begins to check me out. Is it crazy that my dick jolts when she does that? I open the door for her, and she walks over to me.

“So sexy,” she tells me, tiptoeing and giving me a kiss.

“I think you look a lot better.” My arm moves around her waist to pull her closer to me. “So beautiful, shall I-”

“I do love our quick sex sessions in your office, but not today. I’m here to have lunch with Anika.” Saylor walks further into the office, and I close the door and sit on the chair next to her. “But I have forty minutes until she can come, so I thought I would see what my baby daddy is doing.” She gets off the chair and walks over to me, sitting on my lap, legs either side of me. I raise my brows at her because my windows have not been glazed over. “I think your staff can see you’re not the big bad wolf and you have heart under there.” She says with a giggle, and I give her a kiss when she leans closer to me.

“I don’t really care what my staff think. Are you coming over tonight?” I ask. She didn’t come last night and wanted to spend the time with Hayley.

It’s been hard finding a caretaker for Hayley after what he did to the last one, but the doctors have given Saylor some strong anti-anxiety medication and an antipsychotic drug to help control Hayley’s mental health, which seem to be working much better for her. Saylor seems a lot more relaxed, because she’s getting more time with her sister than everyone else. And it’s been good to see Saylor so full of happiness again.

“Yes, I will be over. Cheese pizza for dinner?” She climbs off me and sits back on the chair, then looks over at the staff, but she won’t be seeing Anika there, because the app team are all in one room together.

“You need to start eating a little healthier,” I tease her and turn her chair to face me. “Can we talk before you go to lunch?”

“Sure.”

I’ve been thinking about this for weeks, and I was waiting to not be so stressed out about Hayley.

“I want you to move in with me. I know with Hayley, you stress out, but I was thinking... There is an apartment building on the other street we can get one for her, so she has her independence but would still be close to us if anything happens. And then Lee has given me some numbers-”

“Yes. Yes. I’ll move in with you,” she cuts me off with excitement. I grab her face and give her a hard kiss, because I’ve found a woman so amazing, and she’s all mine.

“You didn’t let me finish,” I tell her, and she starts laughing.
