“I think this must be a record.” He starts laughing, and I look over at Aiden reading all the paperwork. “I saw one video, which was going to be next, but I’m going to send you three this time.”

“Bring it on,” I tell him, and Aiden walks away on his phone.

“Right, it’s late for you, get some sleep. Call me soon as you see the studio,” my dad tells me, and then just watches me for a moment.

“Aiden’s on the phone, something bad happened at work, and I will tell you all about it tomorrow.”

“Looking forward to it. I love you.”

“I love you two, Dad.” I lean back for a moment and just stare at the blank screen. I watch Aiden on the phone as I close the laptop, and the moment he looks at me, he ends the call.

“You okay?” he asks as he gets back in bed with me. I give him a nod, as there aren't words at the moment. “I think he likes me.” Aiden gives my shoulder a kiss. “I’m going to look into this studio and see if maybe I can find you something better.”

“You don’t think this one is good?” I ask as I lift the paper up to look through it again. Even though I keep looking at it, it's a lot of money, and I don’t know if I will make that back in time for when I need it.

“Honestly, I have no idea about this kind of thing, and like you said, Anika’s dad can look into this for you, but I have a friend that I can talk to, to make sure this is a good place.” He takes the paper from me and places my hands on his chest.

“Aiden, I can’t afford to make a bad choice. I have money for one good place, so it has to be right,” I reply as he pulls me in closer to him.

“Saylor, I don’t want you to make a bad choice either, that’s why I’m going to talk to my friend. I feel useless-”

“Useless, really?” I lean closer to him, as I lips brush his. “I’m sure you’re not useless.”

“I’m going to show you I’m not useless,” he tells me as he quickly flips me over onto my back, yanking my top off and pulling on my nipple ring. Now this has me excited, excited enough to finally relax for the first time today.

Chapter Ten

Aiden

Sitting in the office, I look out at the team working. I should be working too, but all I’ve been doing today is seeing if there is anything better for Saylor with her yoga studio. A good one, which is cheaper, or at least get some more studios for her to look at. I called a friend to see if she could find me some options.

“Heads up, your mum is here.” I hear David, and I roll my eyes as I look up at him smirking.

“Where is she?”

“Just about to park. Larry just called up.”

I told Larry the moment he sees my mother’s car, he is to call up, so I can hide if I'm not in the mood to see her, and that's most of the time, as all she does is give me the speech about Cathy.

“Are you in a meeting?” David asks.

Do I want to talk to her? I’m not in the mood? But if I don’t today, she will be over tonight at the house, or back here tomorrow.

“No, I will listen to what she has to say?” I’ve avoided her the last four times she has come to the office, and because I'm not really home, she can’t get me there either.

“Brave, you want me close?”

“You’re not leaving.” I give him the same smirk he gave me. If I’m going down, so is he.

My glance goes over to the stairs, and I can't help but shake my head, as I see my mother and Cathy walking over to my office.

“Don’t you dare fucking leave,” I tell David again. There is no way I’m going to let him go anywhere. I know that this is going to be one big fucking annoying chat.

“Why the fuck do I have to be punished?” David walks around the desk and pretends like he is doing something, so they won’t tell him to leave.

“Because your mother is dead, and being nagged by mine might make you miss yours and remember what an angel she was.” I loved David’s mum. God rest her soul.

“Good morning, Mum. Cathy,” I get up and walk around the desk to give Mum a kiss on the cheek. “What is so important that deserves an early visit?” Making my way back around my desk, I sit down.
