That explains a lot.
"Tell me about her," I state.
Killian lifts his lips a little. "She was super sarcastic and always had an attitude and a comeback to everything I would say. She was always kind to people no matter who they were, she showed sympathy for people who needed it."
"Sounds like she was one hell of a girl."
"She was," Killian says sadly.
I sighed. "Killian, she is in a good place, don't worry. They are taking care of her. I'm glad you told me though."
"I thought you deserved to know because I have been acting like a dick as I said."
"It's understandable. You lost someone you cared about."
"I didn't realize how much I cared about her until she was gone."
"Did you love her?" I ask after a few seconds of staying silent.
"I don’t know.”
"That bird is a Robin I’m guessing?"
"Yea. I got it after she died.”
"How did she die?"
"Seizure. She had type 1 diabetes and her sugar went low causing her to have one and no one was around to give her the shot thing."
"I'm so sorry, Killian. But that's life. It's a cruel motherfucker."
"I just don't understand why."
"The world takes something so close and special to us when we need it the most. It's how the world works. I am not going to tell you that it's going to be okay because I know it will hurt a lot."
Killian sighs and then stands up from the bed. "Yeah, I just wanted to tell you that."
I stand up from the bed. "I appreciate it." I smile at him.
"Mom, dad, and Alexander are downstairs. We are all just waiting on you. Do you want me to walk you down?"
"Sure," I say, giving him a small smile.
Killian takes my hand, and we walk out of my room. Once we get to the stairs we walk down. When my heel touches the marble floor off the staircase, I see my parents and Alexander's head turn.
Jesus.
My eyes trail to Alexander's outfit. He is wearing a suit with a white blazer. His tie is also undone, and his hair is messy but he still looks attractive. My mother is wearing a long red dress that hugs her body perfectly. Her hair is straightened and pulled back. My father is wearing a suit and a red tie, matching with my mother.
"You look beautiful, baby," my mother says once I get to the last step in front of them.
"Thanks, mom, you look beautiful too," I say with a smile.
I then turn my head to Alexander. "You clean up good, Xander," I smirk.
Alexander chuckles lightly and walks closer to me.
He puts his hands on my waist and pulls me closer to him. He leans down so that his lips touch my ear. I feel shivers go down my body making me shiver and feel tingles in my stomach.
