You can do this.

You are strong, you are beautiful, you are powerful.

You can do this.

I smile at myself in the mirror, and I hear the door open making me turn around and see my dad.

"You look gorgeous, principessa," my dad smiles. He never really smiles. He always has a ghost smile, but this is one of the rare times that he does show a genuine smile. Only time he really does smile is probably when my mom is around. I smile back at him. "You know I wish that we could have done all of this under different circumstances, right?"

I nod my head. "I know, but you gotta do what you gotta do."

"I'm sorry. I hate doing things like this, it's something my father would do. I feel like I am doing wrong."

I walk closer to my dad and hug him. "You’re not doing anything wrong. You are just trying to do what's right for the Mafia and I understand."

"You are going to be a great leader, Thalia," my dad says and then he kisses my head. "Ready to go?"

I unwrap my arms from around him and nod my head. My dad takes my hand and then we walk out of the room together.

As my dad and I walk closer to the room where the wedding is being held, I start to hear music playing.

I look at my dad. "I'm nervous."

He chuckles. "Don't be. You have no reason to be nervous. You look beautiful."

I let out a small sigh before my dad pulls me out of the small hallway. As we walk down the aisle I hear the music playing and I see a lot of people.

I see people from different mafias sitting in the back of the room and then my family sitting in the front rows along with some of Alexander's family.

God I am never nervous, what the fuck?

Why am I so nervous?

It's fucking Alexander Russo, there is nothing to be nervous about.

"Take care of her," my dad says with a smile on his face to Alexander and he nods his head. My dad wraps his arms around me and hugs me. "There are multiple different groups sitting in the back so please, please make them believe this is real," he whispers in my ear.

"I will," I whisper back.

"I love you," my dad kisses my cheek and then smiles at me before walking to his seat next to my mom.

I walk up to the small stage they have set up and stand in front of Alexander.

He is wearing a black suit with a black tie. His hair looks like it got cut. He is also wearing a flashy watch on his wrist.

"You look good," Alexander says softly.

"I guess you don’t look like a bird."

I am only teasing.

Alexander looks good.

But I don't want to say or admit that.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding between Thalia De Luca and Alexander Russo," the priest starts. "Marriage is a very hard thing, but it is also one of the most prized memories that couples have together."

Yea right.
