"All of them?" I furrow my eyebrows.
“For now. You dad still needs to do some other things to make sure they are all for sure dead.”
"How?"
"Your dad had a mole inside the Ivanov estate, and he figured out where you were. He sent Rowan to watch over you until he figured out a good plan.”
"And what was that?"
Alexander chuckles lightly. "He did want to blow up the estate as he did twenty years ago but you were inside the estate, and he couldn't really do that or else you would be dead. So, he sent me to come and get you and some other men to kill off anyone who was in the estate and after we got out he blew up the estate. He is still trying to find out if there are more family members or anyone who is associated with their mafia."
"Where are my mom and dad?"
"They’re in the room next to us."
I let out a sigh of relief that they are okay and alive. I don't know why, but I was so scared, thinking about whether or not I would get out of there or not. I had been there for two weeks and I was starting to doubt some things but I knew that my mom and dad would come and get me.
But I do wish I could have made my threat to Vladimir true.
I look up at Alexander and I see him staring straight at me. I feel nervous under his stare and just around him in general.
I also feel anxious and scared because of what happened between us.
I mean it was just sex though.
Right?
"Thank you," I say softly.
Alexander sigh and his hand comes to rest on my cheek. “You fucking scared me, Thalia,” he says while looking down at me with a soft and adoring look. “I don’t know what I would have done if I found out you were dead.”
“I thought you didn’t care. Rowan said-“
“I was pissed off you left,” Alexander says, cutting me off. “I didn’t want to face the fact that you leaving me that morning hurt when it did.”
“You are the type who does these kinds of things so I thought if I left then things would have been easier.”
Alexander furrows his eyebrows at me. “You really think that Thalia?”
“It’s what you're known for.”
Right when I said it, I immediately regretted saying it.
Alexander takes his hand off my cheek, and all the warmth that I felt in my body leaves, and I’m left with the cold, lonely feeling.
“Thanks for that,” Alexander stands up and I grab his hand.
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Yeah, but you said it.”
Alexander lets go of my hand and walks out of the room, leaving me alone.
Twenty Eight
It's been a week since we got back from Moscow.
I have been on bed rest because my mom and dad think that I should rest. My mom also had the cook make me a shit ton of food because she said I look way too skinny and that I should get food in my system.
