Alexander picks me up by my legs and stands up making him hold me bridal style.
"Don't worry everything is going to be alright now," Alexander whispers and he carries me out of the room.
His voice makes my heart feel like it is about to explode and in a good way this time.
"You don't have to hold me," I say and rest my head on his shoulder.
"I want to."
"Is Vladimir dead?" I ask softly.
"Yea, I carved my initials in his chest. Now quiet, we need to find a way out of here."
Alexander makes a lot of twists and turns as I just stare around him. I see a lot of cages and dead bodies on the floor. It looks like I was being held in a basement. There are metal cages and stone walls everywhere.
As Alexander walks through the house, I feel his breathing pick up. His body is warm while holding mine and I finally feel the sense of being safe and having no worries.
"I think I saw someone over here!" I hear someone yell.
Alexander makes a move to hide behind a wall and he looks back and forth between the two hallways.
Alexander then looks down at me. "Can you walk or stand?" I nod my head. "Okay, wait right here I need to go and kill the rest of the people in the house," he says before walking away, not letting me say anything.
I peek around the corner and see Alexander stab a couple of guys in the head and chest before pulling out his gun and shooting them.
I see a guy creep towards him, but Alexander is busy cutting out a guy's throat.
God, he never likes to do simple deaths like just cutting their neck, making them drop dead or stabbing them where it will just be quick and easy. He has to make it all extra and shit.
I get out of my hiding spot and trip the guy who is trying to kill Alexander. He falls to the ground, and I stomp on his face, making him wince. Alexander turns around and he kneels to look at the guy I stomped on. Alexander takes his gun and shoots the guy in the face.
He turns to glare at me. "What's that look for? I saved your life," I exclaim.
Alexander walks closer to me and picks me up by my legs. "I told you to wait," Alexander then carries me over his shoulder.
I punch his back and try to get him to drop me. "You dick! I can walk!"
"We’ll have to change that soon, angel," he says before he walks outside.
Twenty Seven
I hear footsteps outside the door walking closer and closer. I also hear people talking in hushed whispers.
I open my eyes and look around the room I am in. I am laying on a bed with white covers. I open the window blinds next to me and I see the beautiful blue sky and white fluffy clouds.
The door of the room I am in opens and I turn my head and see Alexander walking in. He is wearing a white dress shirt that has some buttons undone and blood on the front of the shirt.
"Sorry if I woke you," Alexander says as he walks fully inside the room and closes the door behind him.
"It's fine," I turn my body around so that I can face him. "What time is it?"
Alexander sat on the end of the bed next to my legs. "3:00 am."
"What happened?"
Last thing I remember is Alexander bringing me to the car and then me falling asleep.
"They're dead."
