But I mean, I didn’t really care. It's my house and as long as I am comfortable then that's all that matters.
"Well, we found out that there is a new Russian leader. His name is Vladimir Ivanov as Alexander said yesterday," Leo explains as he stands next to my father.
"He is the son of Dimitri Ivanov, but your father killed his whole family and blew up their estate," my mom explains while she sits on his lap.
That was a stupid move.
Just because he blew up their estate doesn't mean that they are actually dead. They could have had family outside of Russia.
"But obviously we didn't know that Dimitri had an heir, which is Vladimir. Vladimir was born in Saint Petersburg which is over four hundred miles away from Moscow which is far from the Ivanov estate," Leo explains.
"How did you find out all of this information?" Alexander asks.
"I had done some research and also found out that Vladimir was still in one of the major cities in Russia, so it wasn't hard to lessen the search," Leo states. "But that's not the point."
"The point is that Vladimir is out for revenge. He wants to grieve over the loss of his father and the only way he wants to do that is by killing all of us. He brought those men from last night to the club so that he could bring you two to him," my father explains pointing to Alexander and me.
"How did he know we would be there last night?"
"I don't know. I suppose we have a mole so today I will be doing a soldier check and make sure that everything is in order."
"Okay, and what do you need us to do?" Alexander asks.
I see my parents and Alexander's parents all make eye contact. I furrow my eyebrows and look at Alexander who is observing all of them.
"What?" I mutter and then they look away from each other and look at the two of us.
"Now you both aren't going to like this but-"
"Like what, Ma?" Alexander cuts her off.
"It's what we have to do in order to make things look normal like we aren't worrying about them, or we are just not making any moves. It will buy us time to think of a strong plan to take them down and also it will make us stronger if we combine our mafia again," Aria explains.
"Okay? So, we combine them. Easy," I shrug.
"Not really," Alexander mumbles, making me look at him.
"In order to combine both mafias, there needs to be a marriage," Emma explains.
I look at Alexander and look back at my dad.
They better not be saying what I think they are saying. I look back at Alexander and see his jaw was clenched.
"We want Alexander and you to marry," my dad states bluntly.
"No," I state without thinking. "Absolutely not. No."
"Look it won't even be-"
"No, dad! I am not marrying Alexander. No offense but I don't want to be stuck with Alexander for the rest of my life," I look at my dad. "You promised me that I would be in charge of the empire someday, but I can't do that if I marry Alexander. You promised."
"I know la mia principessa but this is the way things have to be," my dad says in a gentle tone.
"I am not marrying him," I say while looking at Alexander with disgust. "Why would I want to marry someone who fucks different people on a daily basis. He is a jackass and only cares about himself. He is never capable of being kind to anyone unless he needs them. He thinks the entire world revolves around him," I say while pointing to Alexander.
"Like you're miss perfect," Alexander scoffs and I look at him. "You are always bitchy and always have something to complain about. You are the one who thinks that the world revolves around them, not me, angel."
"And there you go using that stupid nickname," I glare at him. "You always piss me off and you do it on purpose."
