“You’re beautiful, my rose,” he says, sliding his hand over the valley between my boobs.
“I will kill you if you do this to me,” I hiss through clenched teeth. “I will fucking chop off your balls and feed them to you.”
Callahan chuckles. “Does it feel good, darling?”
Hard cramps spread over my lower belly and core. Ithurts. The drug hasn’t just induced my heat. It’s also punishing my body for taking something that’s brought on a sudden change in my hormones.
Callahan’s touch does soothe my heated, aching flesh but I’d rather die than reach out to him for help. I’ve never hated anyone more than him.
My gaze falls on the empty syringe nearby.
Callahan lowers his mouth to kiss me. Keeping my lips pressed shut, I reach out to grab the syringe that still has the needle attached to it.
His slimy tongue pushes against my lips, coaxing me to open up to him.
“Accept it,” he croons, his voice soft despite the heavy dominance in it. “I’m your one and only mate.”
I stare into his dark, soulless eyes as he hovers over me. “Fuck you.” Grabbing the syringe, I raise it high and plunge the needle into his shoulder.
A rabid howl escapes Callahan.
I smile as his face screws up with pain.
“How dare you?!” he roars, backhanding me across the face.
The force of his slap is enough to make me black out for a moment.
“You will lie still,” he barks, tearing off the shirt completely. “You will lie absolutely still.” Using his weight to pin me underneath him, he starts fumbling with the front of his trousers.
The cramps in my lower belly intensify. My body twists from sheer agony despite his command. A part of me is glad of the way my body is reacting to the drug.
If I’m lucky, I’ll die before this monster can devour my body.
Whimpers escape me but Callahan chooses to ignore it all. His black pupils have expanded from desire, filling up the whites of his eyes. He’s reduced to a complete beast who wants nothing but to bite and tear my flesh off.
Julian, Caleb, Damon, and Raiden...
Their faces flash through my mind. The grief of losing them forever is more painful than the cramps wreaking havoc in me.
Tears of helplessness and desperation seep from between my closed eyelashes. This is the moment my soul decides to die.
A heavy black veil spreads over me, erasing all sensory awareness. I surrender to it, no longer caring if I live or die.

Raiden
My gaze slides toward the speedometer. The car’s going at a hundred miles per hour at the moment, flying through the dark, empty road leading toward Fort Callahan.
A crazed look has descended over Caleb. His eyes are focused on the road but I can tell his mind is churning with anxiety.
We both know the kind of alpha Callahan is. He’s been fixated over Iris since the moment he saw her at the mayor’s party last week. His obsession made him crazy enough to file false complaints against us as well as threaten us.
I still can’t get over the fact that he tried to get Caleb suspended. He’d have succeeded in destroying our reputation if Caleb and I didn’t go back to our father, demanding justice.
None of us know how Callahan ended up at our home in the middle of a terrorist attack. I don’t even know how he could’ve left with her while gunfire and bomb blasts were happening in every corner of the grounds.
I’m worried about Iris despite knowing she’s not with the Black Widow. Even though she’s escaped the fucking bastards, she’s not any safer with Callahan.
