Page 122 of Knot my Alphas

The only jewelry I don is the gold bracelet Caleb gifted me a few months ago. It still contains the tracking chip that allowed him and Raiden to find me and rescue me in time from Callahan’s clutches.

Opening another cabinet, I take out a can of de-scenter and liberally spray myself with it. I sniff at my clothes, making sure my natural perfume is neutralized.

Next, I grab a vial of white pills. These tiny tablets are my armor against an alpha’s ability to compel me into submission. Opening the cap, I take a pill and swallow it.

Taking a deep breath, I pray I’ve prepared myself enough to get through this day. I slip into a pair of blunt-heeled shoes and take one last glance at the mirror before stepping outside the room.

Familiar voices reach my ears as I walk through the hallway leading to the entrance hall. Stepping through the threshold, I find Caleb, Damon, and Raiden filling up the space. My mouth hangs slightly open as I take in each of them.

Dressed in their formal military uniforms, they look strikingly handsome and noble. The gold stars and badges on their black attires make them look even more imposing. I feel like I have been transported to some bygone era where kings and their knights existed.

“Morning,” says Caroline as she waves at me. “You’re right on time.”

I start, noticing her for the first time. Gerald nods from beside her and gives me a warm smile.

“Why do you look like you lost your way and stumbled in here?” Damon asks with a chuckle.

I meet his amber gaze. If his parents weren’t around, I’d be pouncing on him for a hungry kiss.

His sly smirk tells me he knows exactly what I’m thinking.

“Come and have a seat,” Caroline says, patting the couch beside her. She’s dressed in a long, sleek navy dress that goes all the way to her ankles. The long sleeves have closely woven metallic rings on them, giving them an armored look.

“You look amazing,” I say. “Maybe I should’ve chosen something a bit more elaborate.”

“Don’t worry, dear,” Caroline says airily. “You look fine. There’s no need to be nervous about the ceremonies. The alphas will be doing most of the work anyway. We just have to sit back and relax.”

I nod and offer her a strained smile.

She thinks I’m nervous about the rites and ceremonies that will be held throughout the day.

They’re the least of my worries.

Our enemy will be walking right into our home today. That thought alone is enough to keep me on my toes and stay focused on my surroundings.

Julian walks into the room, looking like a beautiful prince in his navy suit that’s trimmed with decorative silver linings. Despite my nervousness, I can’t help but lust after my handsome omega.

“Is everyone here?” Julian says, looking around.

“Yep,” says Caleb, getting to his feet. Moving toward him, he kisses his cheek. “We’ve all been waiting for you to join us.”

“Great! All this nervous energy has gotten me hungry. Let’s go and grab some breakfast.”

“He’s got a point,” says Gerald. Standing up, he places a gold-braided cap on his head. The length of his long, silvery hair is neatly tied at the back. His immaculate uniform is adorned with more gold stars and badges than his sons’.

An aura of immense power and authority swirls around him.

All my instincts scream for me to follow his every command.

I glance toward my mates and realize that I’m not the only one to be influenced by Gerald’s inner power. Caleb and his brothers are all looking up at him.

This is the power of a leading alpha. It’s almost impossible to ignore or evade their crushing dominance.

“Come on, love,” Gerald says as he moves toward Caroline. “The kids are hungry.”

Caroline’s smile brightens as he extends his hand toward her. Taking it, she stands up and allows him to wrap an arm around her waist.

Julian comes to stand beside me and we’re both flanked by Raiden and Damon on either side. Caleb follows behind his father and leads us out of the entrance hall.
