His hand clamps over my mouth as he continues. My legs shake as I moan into his hand. His other hand slips between us and plays with my sensitive clit. My head spins, and my body twitches, coming to an orgasm.

I dig my nails into him, eyes closing. “Oh fuck!” I moan in a muffled voice because of his palm.

“I’m coming. I’m coming.” He moans into my ear, fucking me slower yet deeper. He cries right in my ears, egging on my orgasm. My head spins, and I spiral out until I crash and shatter right on his cock. My body arches, letting his tip hit that sweet spot. I cry out into his hand, unable to hold it back. Our liquids pour from my pussy as we breathe heavily onto each other.

Inarian slowly slips out of me, sliding sideways next to me. His hand stays on my hip as his eyes close. I shift, not caring about anything right now.

My eyes move to his chest, and slowly I lift his shirt. It is hard to process that this was the icy, hot guy in my gym class that hated me. We’ve been through a lot together, and the worst ended up with him being stabbed.

Inarian’s eyes pop open before he sits up. I thought he was pulling away from me, but instead, he took off his shirt and laid back down. Scars cover his chest, and I can see the fresh ones Draco made.

Draco ended up getting knocked out and acid burned by Jigsaw. He spat on him and said, “For Inarian.”

My fingers ran over the one that just missed his heart. “I will never let you get hurt again.”

He smiles. “Around you, I doubt that.”

I cup his cheek before leaning up and kissing his lips. I didn’t kiss him this whole fucking time. Honestly, that’s all I want from him and what I came here for. He kisses me back slowly, savoring the taste.

Pulling back, I think about what he last said to me. “Did you mean it when you said you loved me?”

“Of course I did, baby. I’ve loved you since the moment you gave me attitude back.”

I smile. At one point, we weren’t best friends as he couldn’t stand me. We’ve come a long way from the academy. I reach up and give him a single kiss before I let myself fall asleep in his arms. I feel safe being there.

They let us out of the hospital a few days later, and we all went to Hades’. It’s been days since the battle, and the hospital hasn’t let me see what the citizens of the Shadow World have to say about me on television.

Cerberus attacks me when I enter the household, drooling over my hands. A still-pregnant Persephone wraps her arms around me. “It’s about to show what the people have voted for.”

Perfect timing. The council did this on purpose, as they didn’t want me to worry too much while healing.

Nerves fill me as I limp to the couch with Ryker and Hazen holding my hands. My men have visited almost every day, making sure I’m okay.

We all flood the couch with Killian and Derrick sitting at my feet with Cerberus and Hades, Khazon and Ozias behind the sofa. The rest of us sit, Jigsaw moving to give Persephone a seat.

I smile at him.

The news cuts on the television, and I sit forward.

“Last week, the Gates of Hell were opened, and a war in Hell went on,” a female says. Videos from the attack show, and I know instantly that was Killian and Derrick’s doing. After I forbade them to go, they had a drone to make sure we were winning. In a sense, they saved me. Inarian was able to see that the gates were open and took action.

I feel the bond between Thorne and me spike with nerves. He is just as nervous and has been busy being the Blood Clan’s leader, which has taken a turn for the better.

“After hundreds of years of not seeing the fae people, they stand behind the half-human queen along with several Soul Reapers and demon council members.”

It shows a video of Hazen holding me up and me screaming to everyone at the top of the hill. I smile.

“After successfully closing the Gates of Hell, Asura Blaire Beelzebub is now faced with the citizens and what they have to say about the queen. Voting went on this past week to see if the citizens of the Shadow World should let the half-queen stay in office, and this is what people on the streets have to say about her.”

A video shows Amos, and it makes me smile. “If any half-human can run Hell, it’s her.”

The rest of the messages were mixed with views.

“No matter what happens,” I say, nerves filling me as I lean forward to speak to Derrick. “I am okay with having you as the king.” With Evara in jail at the new Obsidian Tower Max Security Prison, the council ruled that her crimes prohibit her from getting the crown and The Flame.

“And I’m okay with you staying as queen. I would much prefer it,” he says softly, almost making me cry.

They put a picture of me being carried by my men toward the hospital after the fight. Numbers in two columns flood the screen. One was for me to stay queen, and the other was to lose The Flame.
