Mark stops and looks at me. Blinks. Blinks again. "Keep eating if you're going to make those noises."
I snicker. "Shut up. That doesn't compare to the ones that Derrick got to hear the last couple of days."
Derrick smirks as he brings me a cup of coffee and some apple juice. He remembered!
"Thank you."
He inclines his head, then goes back to drinking his own java.
"What are you two doing here on a Sunday before noon?" I question. "Shouldn't you be at church begging for your sins to be forgiven?"
Alex laughs. "You're one to talk. You've been locked away with Derrick Pierce for two days."
I blush as I remember the way he tasted me, the noises he made when I returned the favor. The way his fingers gripped my hair when he took me from behind.
"Damn. She's thinking about it," Mark informs everyone.
"I'll never forget," I say softly before taking a sip of my coffee.
"Any video?" Mark asks.
Derrick gives him a look. "Shut up."
"No?" Mark whines. "Man. I'd pay—"
Derrick gives him a pointed stare. "Mark."
Mark holds up his hands. "Fine, fine. Sheesh. It's not like you to be so touchy."
"It's never been anyone like Audra," Alex replies.
Oh boy. They're talking about me as if I'm not here and I'm as red as a tomato.
"Audra's a lady," Derrick says and all conversation about me stops. Alex brings up the football games, stats, scores, teams I don't know—and I don't care. Anything is better than talking about me.
Mark serves up the rest of breakfast and I eat so much I'm getting smirks and side-long glances from Alex and Mark. They look over at Derrick who frowns at them and shakes his head once. I can actually see Mark's pout.
"So," Alex begins, "how are we going to deal with this situation?"
I take a sip of coffee. "I didn't realize it was a 'situation'."
"It kinda is," Mark interjects. "I mean, you're banging the CEO."
"You'd bang him too, if he'd let you," I tease.
Mark throws his head back and laughs—long, hard, and it's hilarious. "Girl, you're going to get slapped with some sort of lawsuit over this whole thing."
"Nah. I'm going to spread a rumor that the company is making cuts and starting in HR. Then, I'll pull my department into a meeting tomorrow and tell them what's going on with me and Derrick and how if they have issues they can discuss it with the company lawyers. They'll be so relieved they didn't get fired, they'll forget they have an issue with me dating Derrick."
"Genius," Alex praises.
Derrick's smiling. "I'll make sure the lawyers are informed, but I doubt there'll be any problem."
"There is a problem," I inform him.
"What?"
"We have to sign a Consensual Relationship agreement stating this isn't unwanted attention and not sexual harassment," I tell him.
