Now he's looking at me with the same want.

"Then we better go eat." He keeps his eyes on me but exits the car before the valet gets to us. He makes his way around the car and opens my door. He leans down and across my body to unlock my seatbelt, his forearm rubbing against my already aroused nipples. My breath catches and I clench my thighs. He groans. "Sonofabitch. I can smell you. I'd rather eat you than whatever they're serving, but I think I'll have you for dessert."

Yep. Wet. Hot. Wanting. Nearly panting. I'm a mass of quivering need. I lean forward, nearly touching his lips with mine—nearly. "Then let's consider this foreplay," I whisper.

He groans again. "You're going to kill me. I know it."

"Then it's a good thing your life insurance is paid up," I breathe against his mouth, then flick my tongue against his lips, before motioning to let me out.

He helps me, taking my hand in his. Mine are sweating. So are his.

When I'm standing, he pulls me flush against him. Holy shit. He's hard. I can feel his erection against my belly.

"I'm going to walk into this overrated, overpriced restaurant with my cock so hard it hurts. I'm going to sit across from you and try my best not to think about what it's going to feel like to finally press my lips against yours and taste you."

I let out soft whimper. His smirk is back.

"I don't think this is how Dating 101 is supposed to go," he tells me.

"Nothing about you is how things are supposed to go," I admit.

He raises a brow. "You're finally admitting that?"

I hum my agreement.

"It took you long enough."

"I was waiting my turn," I admit.

"Audra. You've always been first, you just weren't ready," he tells me.

I meet his gaze, my shock evident. What did he just say?

"You really aren't very good at reading me. Why don't we just communicate instead?" he proposes.

I nod. "Okay." I look into his eyes and I see it. I wasted so much time thinking I was waiting when it was him who was doing the waiting. For me. Well, no more. "Derrick."

"Hmm?" he replies looking at my mouth.

"Let's skip dinner."

He meets my gaze now. "I don't want you to think that's all I want from you, Audra. I want so much more than you beneath me."

"What is it you want?" I ask breathily.

"Everything."

I nod. "Me too. Let's skip dinner. We can order pizza later."

He smirks again.

Will that ever not send the butterflies soaring? I hope not.

"Your place or mine?" he asks.

"Really? I thought you didn't bring women to your place for that."

"You're not just any woman, Audra."
