"Well, something happened," Mark contradicts. Both Alex and Derrick look at Mark questioningly and I get a little bit hopeful. "Some asshole drugged you and Derrick saved you."

Poof. Deflated hope. "Who drugged me?" I squeak.

"When I came up to the bar, some guy offered to pay for your drinks. I thought I saw him slip something into your drink, and when I started talking to you, I knew I was right. He was detained and arrested," Derrick informs me.

I sit back. "Wow. Thank you." I can't take it all in. "Holy shit. I was roofied?"

Derrick nods. "That or something along those lines. Shannon was way too out of it to take care of you."

"So you did? Why would you do that?"

"Because he—" Mark begins, only to be elbowed in the stomach by Derrick.

"Because someone had to," Derrick informs me. "I didn't mind."

"I don't get it."

"What's to get?" Derrick asks.

"Why? It meant you going home alone when everyone knows you always leave with someone."

"I did leave with someone—you," he answers.

My eyes widen, then narrow. What's going on with him? "That's not what I mean, and you know it."

"We know what you mean, but taking care of you was more important," Alex tells me.

Mark hands me a bottled water. I gulp down the first swallow, then swish the second around my mouth before swallowing again.

"Oh, that's heaven. Whatever they gave me…" I trail off. "Wait. You all took care of me?"

Mark sits on the foot end of the bed. "Absolutely."

"Uh…," I begin with a blush, "who changed my clothes?"

Mark smirks. "We'll never tell."

Holy shit.

Pierce 2. Sullivan 1. Though, technically Mark one that round.

"Are you freaking out?" Alex asks Audra. "You look like you're freaking out."

"Well, I'm almost naked under this shirt and I don't know if one or all of you got a peek at the girls," Audra confesses, chewing on her bottom lip.

"I told you, we'll never tell," Mark tells her.

"Don't even start," I tell him with a laugh. I look over to Audra who's still looking like a deer caught in the headlights. Change of subject. Yeah. That's what's needed here. "You think you could eat something?"

Her stomach growls, and she blushes. "I'm hungry but I'm afraid to eat. I really hate throwing up."

"I can relate," Alex agrees.

I walk to the bathroom and grab my bathrobe which is going to be way too long for her, but it's better than her feeling exposed. When I hand it to her, she looks so grateful. "We can start with toast and go from there. Guys let's let Audra have some privacy for a bit. Kitchen's down the hall. You can't miss it—especially with Mark around."
