“Harper, if we don’t stop, we’ll never leave this apartment.”

I kiss down his jawline, traveling down his neck and smiling at the sounds coming from his chest.

“Would that be such a bad thing?” I ask, my hands making their way down the hard planes of his chest, stopping just before his belt. I’m about to get to the main event when he backs away, giving me that sexy smirk.

“I would love nothing more than to strip you naked and have you right here against this door.”

Damn, that image is enough to make any girl want to strip naked and say, yes please.

“Trust me, I’ve been thinking about nothing but what it would be like to fuck you since I left this apartment last week.”

I groan because I don’t know why he’s stopping this when we both want it.

“Then what’s stopping you?” I whine as my eyes leave his and look to the ground.

Josh steps forward and lightly grasps my face in his hands.

“Harper, you look incredible tonight. Trust me when I say that I want you just as bad as you want me right now. But I promised you a date and damn it, I’m going to give it to you. Even if every part of my body is hating me for it.” He kisses me lightly. “I just want to spend the night with you, get to know you outside the bedroom, okay?”

“But what about…” I eye his still hard erection and give him a lifted brow.

“I’ll be fine,” he says, adjusting himself. “Just try and not look so damn sexy or we’ll have to cut this night short,” he whispers with a wink.

“I wouldn’t be opposed to that,” I admit as I make my way to the bathroom and clean up the mess he made, then head back into the living room and grab my clutch off the couch.

“You’re making it very hard to be a gentleman right now,” he growls as I look at his cock. Once he realizes what he just said, he kisses me again, opening the door behind me. “Let’s go before I change my mind.”

“Where are we going?” I ask as we get into Josh’s truck.

He smirks, winking as he shakes his head. “Not telling.”

I give him a look as he takes my hand and brings it to his lips. Should I tell him I hate surprises?

“Don’t worry.” His eyes meet my worried ones. “We’ll be there in less than five minutes.”

I squeeze his fingers as we drive silently, my heart pounding, trying to decipher where he’s taking me.

“We’re almost there, I promise. Trust me?” he asks as I give a slight nod, looking out the windows as the streetlights pass me by.

We drive in silence the rest of the way and I still have no idea where we’re going. The truck stops in front of an abandoned building and I turn to give Josh a questioning look as he smiles and just motions for me to get out of the truck. The chill of the late spring night slips through my jacket as I hold it tight against me.

“Cold?” he asks as he brings his arm around me, holding me closer. He tries to keep me warm by running his hand up and down my arm, and even though it’s not doing a damn thing for my exposed legs, it sure as hell heats up the rest of me.

“Just a little, I really didn’t think of the weather when I wore this dress,” I admit, wrapping my arm around his back and relishing being this close to him.

We stop just outside an enormous steel door and I look up at Josh, very confused.

“Well, you won’t need to worry about the cold soon.” He bends down and lightly kisses my lips. It takes all of my restraint not to take it further, but I’m curious to find out what he’s hiding behind that door. “You look beautiful,” he murmurs as he touches his forehead to mine. He’s just about to kiss me again when the door opens and reveals a hulking, very aggressive-looking man who stands in front of us. I tense as Josh chuckles to himself as he squeezes my hip. When I see that smile on his lips, I start to relax.

“Hey Scott, everything ready?” Josh asks as Scott stays motionless. He just slightly nods and motions with his chin for us to enter.

I exhale when the door closes behind us and the warmth of the room seeps into my skin.

“Where are we?” I look around and there’s nothing but darkness except for a small light in the distance.

I become more and more confused as Josh takes my hand and leads me toward a flight of stairs I didn’t notice were to our right. He still doesn’t say a word or answer my questions as we walk up toward a landing.

“Josh, come on, where are we?” I beg, hating that I haven’t figured it out yet.
