Cass let out a long, drawn-out wail. She bit her lip hard, shaking her head as she tried to stay quiet. Slade covered her mouth with his own, stroking her tongue and pressing his hot lips to hers. Cass relaxed, leaning back against the wall as he started to thrust.
With every sharp movement of his hips, Cassandra banged against the flimsy barrier. She had a sudden image of them actually falling through it. Her cries of lust turned into giggles of glee as she pictured herself and her lover landing at the feet of some poor, innocent shopper. At the same time, the entire fitting room came down around them.
Slade paused, his hips pressed hard against her, looking into her eyes. Cass reached up and stroked his cheek, feeling incredibly relaxed and tender toward him. There was a connection here that she couldn’t fathom, something that sang deep in her cells. Being with him felt right.
Being with Flash feels right too. How could I choose between them?
Easy. Don’t.
Slade gripped her thighs, his tight fingertips returning her to the present moment. She blinked, letting herself fall straight into Slade’s gaze. As he swelled inside her, she saw the look in his eyes change. He was fiercely dominant, but as he came closer to his climax, she saw an incredible vulnerability locked inside his soul.
Not locked now. It’s open for me.
The realization that he was opening to her electrified her desire, making her moan and writhe against the wall. Slade kissed her again, keeping his lips clamped on hers as he increased his pace.
Cass came in a flooding rush, clamping her legs to his sides and gripping his shoulders as the climax seared her blood. Deep inside, she felt Slade’s body pumping against hers. If she hadn’t had her lips locked on his, she definitely would have screamed.
He held her against the wall for a few minutes, their foreheads together. When she looked into his eyes, they were dark with emotion. Cass ran a hand down his cheek, smiling. He grinned back.
“Do you think anyone heard us?” he whispered.
Cass giggled. “I think everyone heard us,” she joked.
Slade moved back a step, gently putting her feet back on the ground. “Do they have security cameras in here?” Slade asked, looking around.
“They do,” she said. “I don’t know if they would have caught us, though.”
“Wouldn’t security be kicking us out?” Slade asked, puzzled.
“I don’t think anyone would dare knock on this door,” Cass said, giggling. She let herself recover for a few minutes, not rushing to get dressed or leave the cubicle. It was a special moment for just the two of them, a wild exercise of abandon she didn’t want to forget.
They cleaned up and finally prepared to bolt from the changing area, Cass’s stack of dresses over Slade’s arm. They sneaked to the door, peeking around the edge to see if they were being watched, then made a run for it back to the women’s section.
“There you are,” Flash growled as he approached through the rows of neatly hung dresses. “What the hell took you so long?”
Cass blushed, and Slade winked. Flash laughed softly.
“Fair enough,” he said. “Did you pick a dress, at least?”
Slade held up one arm. “More than one. Can you take these? I need to check my phone.”
“Sure thing,” Flash said, reaching out for the stack of dresses. Slade immediately pulled out his phone and stared at the screen, disappointment slowly breaking across his features. Cass stood next to Flash, watching Slade with some concern.
She watched his fingers dance across the screen as he checked a few different apps, then locked the phone and put it back in his pocket. He took two steps away from them, then pulled the phone out again to look forlornly at the locked screen.
“What the fuck?” she muttered. “Should I be insulted? We were just having mind-blowing sex. Now he’s tied to his phone.”
“Don’t take it personally,” Flash said. “He’s probably feeling guilty that he indulged when he still has no idea where Jenny is.”
“Oh,” Cass said. “The nineteen-year-old sister, right?”
“Yeah, that’s right.”
Cass watched Slade put his phone away, then get it out again. She frowned.
“Is he okay? Like, actually?”
Flash sighed. “Look, he’s got a good reason to be a bit paranoid. He lost everyone he loves, and he thinks he’s going to let everyone down if he doesn’t keep her safe. He can’t stand the idea of losing her.”
