This rough and ragged joining continues until I lose count, and there’s nothing left for either of them to give.
They both collapse on top of me, but that immense weight crushing down only lasts a moment, and then Jack is beside me, and Minoka is on the other side of the room.
He honestly looks a little startled to be there.
I don’t mind the reprieve. I roll to Jack.
“I love you.” Drawing his face to mine, I kiss him as deeply as I can.
“I love you too.” He draws his hands down my arms. “I’ll do anything to keep you safe.”
A sharp snort echoes from the other side of the bed as Minoka comes back to us.
“I can vouch for that.” Minoka says, his hooves clopping before he collapses back into the bed.
Happy Ending
With a sigh that reeks of disdain, Minoka pulls himself from me for the last time, rolling onto his back as the final grains of sand filter through the hourglass.
The loss of him is an odd emptiness. One I’m not sure I mind.
That silvery dark cock lands heavily on his leg and I take a deep breath, once more unsure how both of them fit inside of me.
But it’s over.
The price was paid… even if it wasn’t the one Minoka actually wanted.
Jack helps me up and I feel the weight of the come that hasn’t dried sliding over my skin. He half carries me to a wide bath.
I’m so grateful for the warmth of the water, I don’t ask why he doesn’t simply snap the mess away.
And I am messy.
He doesn’t get in with me.
Wet fingers caress my cheek. “Still okay?”
I nod against his fingers, not trusting my throat to let me speak just yet.
Pressing a kiss against my forehead, he cleans me off, and I don’t even try to help, until he pulls me from the tub and a towel appears in his hand.
“Why didn’t you just…” I wave my hand over myself, “it away.”
“Because Minoka might have used that to claim I broke our bargain.”
I assume that’s why he snaps a new dress into his hands and slides it over my body instead of drawing it to existence on my skin.
Minoka lounges on his bed, watching us with hooded lids.
The hourglass still blocks the doorway to Babel.
“It’s time for us to leave.” I say, ignoring the weakness of my voice. My throat aches from the use.
A moment later, Jack hands me a goblet. The sparkly nectar in it looks like heaven, and I drink it with closed eyes and a deep sigh of relief as the sting subsides.
“Don’t worry, I’m not trapping you here.” Minoka rolls off his bed, not bothering to cover himself up as he comes—swinging—toward me.
“Here.” He holds out something shiny. It’s a silver bull’s head charm for a necklace. “So you can come back and see me anytime you want, as well.”
