“Leave her, Dove. She’s only speaking the truth.” I lean in closer. “Don’t let these two spoil your day.”

She looks up at me. “They can’t,” she whispers.

“That’s my girl. The sooner we get the fuck out of here, the sooner I can taste that sweet pussy of yours.”

Just as I expected, her cheeks flame with heat. “Hayden,” she gasps, her fingers clenching around my shirt.

“Are you listening to me?” the shrill voice of Monica screams. “How dare you?”

“Can someone please see this bitch out,” Ma says loudly.

“Oh, it would be our pleasure,” Melissa says with a bright smile as her and Makenna step forward. Knowing these two, Monica could be in for a world of hurt.

Ethan seems to realize what’s about to befall his wife. “Monica, babe, we’ve got a flight to catch,” the prick tells her with a smug smile. “I hear the Caribbean is excellent at this time of the year.”

Monica sidles up to him and links her arm through his, a fake smile on her face. “Yes, a destination wedding is perfect. It means not having to put up with bitchy mothers-in-law.”

“Jealous?” Addie says with a raised brow. “I mean, neither of you have your moms. Shame. Had you had, Monica, maybe you wouldn’t be so insecure.”

Monica’s eyes narrow. “Insecure of what?” she questions, her brows knitting together, her lips pursed as she glares at my wife.

“Monica,” Vivi sighs. “We all know why you’re doing this. Jealousy is such an ugly look. You wanted Rocco, but he didn’t want you. Then you met Jade and realized that he had traded up, and now you’re jealous of Ade.” She shakes her head. “Insecure is right. If you had an ounce of respect for yourself, you wouldn’t be here.”

Christ, a thirteen-year-old is telling her straight.

“You bitch,” Monica snarls at her.

“It’s time for you to leave,” Addie snaps. It seems mama bear is out to play. Addie is extremely protective of Viviana, and having this cunt call her a bitch has infuriated my wife. Her back is ramrod straight and her head held high as she glares at the fuckers before us. “You have a choice: you can leave of your own free will, or you’ll be escorted out.”

Jade fucking pouts. “Ade, you ruin all the fun.”

The two assholes listen to my wife’s advice and turn their backs on us as they leave to exit the party, showing us they don’t view us as a threat. Well, they fucking should. We’re coming for them. We’ll make sure they get what’s coming to them.

“My condolences,” Addie calls out as they reach the door, “on your upcoming nuptials,” she tells them when they stop and stare at her.

Jade, Makenna, and Melissa laugh as the gatecrashers leave. All three of them have glee in their eyes as they begin to talk with each other.

“This is just the beginning,” Addie tells me with a sigh. “Today they were disrespected in front of hundreds of people. That is going to be relayed to the Masters.”

I shrug. “I give a fuck?”

She rolls her eyes. “Think about if the tables were turned and they insinuated that I was a whore in front of all these people, or if they had just dismissed me so callously? What would you do, Hayden?” Her voice is soft, yet worry is there.

“Do you regret what was said?”

She shakes her head. “No. She should never have called Vivi a bitch,” she snarls, and I smile. “Don’t laugh at me, Hayden.”

I pull her closer to me. “Me? Never.”

She tilts her head as she studies me. “We just have to be careful,” she says. “They’ll plan revenge, and the last thing I want is for any of our families to end up dying because of it.”

“Don’t worry, Addie, nothing is going to happen.” They’ll be dead before they can even think about retaliation.

“I’m going to go check on Vivi,” she tells me, but I see the worry slowly start to ebb away from her eyes.

“Go. You have some time before I take you upstairs and make you mine.”

She grins at me, but it’s forced. It doesn’t reach her beautiful eyes. “I look forward to it.”
