“I’m not,” he reiterates. “You’re all so fucking quick to jump on Ales’ back.”

I shake my head. “You didn’t hear Denis mention my brother Cian, did you?”

That seems to take some of the bluster out of him. But he’s still pissed that I’m doubting his little brother. Well, fucking tough.

“We’ve got calls to make,” Makenna says. “This is ending soon. I will not fucking wait for him to come to us.”

“We take him down before he can realize what’s coming,” Dante agrees.

My cell rings, and I reach for it, hoping it's Destiny. But when I look at the screen, I see it’s a number I don’t know. “Yeah?”

“Finn Gallagher, this is Levi Buchanan,” the deep voice of the Carter Syndicate’s new boss says.

My blood runs ice fucking cold as I realize just who’s on the other line. “What’s happened?”

He’s silent for a beat, and that just pisses me off even more. “I’ve just had a call from Drake. Their car was T-boned about six miles from your father’s house. Whoever crashed into them knocked Drake unconscious, and when he woke up, Destiny was gone.”

My heart clenches as my stomach drops. “Where the fuck is she, Levi?”

“I have no fucking idea. From what Drake remembers, the vehicle that t-boned them was a dark Lincoln Navigator.”

I glance at Denis, who’s staring at me, his jaw tight, and his fist curled. I put my cell on speaker and tell Levi to repeat what he just told me.

Makenna inhales a sharp breath. “Fuck,” she snarls.

“Do you know who took her?”

I ball my fists up. “Yeah, I know who’s taken her. And I’m going to get her back.” It’s a vow.

“Good, call me when you have a location,” he instructs me.

“Will do.” I end the call and turn to my siblings. “I’m going to fucking kill him.”

Makenna nods. “When we get him, he’s all yours.”

“The major question is, how the fuck did the asshole know where Destiny would be?” Dante questions.

I have no idea who told the fucker where she’d be, but I’m going to fucking find out.

I stalk out of Makenna’s office and make a beeline for the kitchen, where everyone else is.

The men get to their feet, all four of them wearing the same deep frown.

“What’s happened?” Danny demands.

I ignore him and turn my gaze to Melissa. “I need you to find any footage of a crash involving a dark Lincoln Navigator. It happened about six miles from here, heading toward Destiny’s house.”

She nods instantly, her eyes widening as she worries her lip between her teeth. “What happened?” she asks as she reaches for her laptop that’s on the kitchen table.

“Someone crashed their car into Destiny’s,” Makenna explains as she comes to stand beside me. “Her bodyguard, Drake, was knocked unconscious. When he came around, Destiny was gone. We need to find her.”

“On it,” Melissa says, and begins typing away.

“We all know this has Patrick written all over it,” Dante snarls. “What we want to know is who tipped the fucker off that she was here and that she left in a different vehicle.”

Danny’s gaze instantly zeroes in on Cian. “You’re the closest to him. Fucking call him.”

Cian pulls his cell out of his pocket and tries calling him. “He’s not answering.”
