When Holly was taken, her husband, Romero, and Finn’s brother-in-law, Dante, took out most of their fighters. They opened fire on their boxing gym thinking the Russians were the ones to take Holly, when in fact it was down to my father and some asshole Georgina had been fucking.

“We have eyes on the Russians. We’ll know when they’re ready to make their move,” he tells me. “Sleep, baby,” he says softly, as he moves his arm under my neck so my head’s resting on the pillow. His thumb slowly caresses my cheek, and it’s not long before I feel myself start to drift off.

“Thank you,” I tell him groggily.

“For what?”

“Coming back to me,” I say, just as sleep takes me.

I've been summoned. I woke up this morning to my woman giving me the best blow job of my life. It took everything I had to not come in her mouth as soon as I saw those half-mast eyes filled with lust and need.

The past three days have been filled with Destiny. She's still hiding away in the house that her ma left her, and each night I make my way inside and spend the night. Not only does her uncle have men watching the house, but I do too. I don't trust anyone to keep her safe but me and my men.

After I finished rewarding her with my cock, I got a call from Makenna. She demanded I come to her house, so here I am.

My house is currently a building site while it gets rebuilt. I’m also having extra security added to it. Now that I have Destiny, I want the absolute best. My men have been given a warning. I don’t give a fuck if a trap was set, no one is to leave her side again when I’m not with her.

Neither Conrad nor Levi apologized for blowing up my house, nor for kidnapping my woman. But they did thank me for saving her. Being around her cousin and uncle, I’ve learned a lot more about her and their relationship. She loves hard and tries to protect those she cares for. I also quickly realized they have no idea what has truly transpired between Destiny and me.

It doesn’t take me long to get to Makenna’s home. With both Destiny and Makenna living on the outskirts of New York, the drive is relatively easy. I exit the car and see all the vehicles parked outside Makenna’s house. I’m instantly on edge, wondering what the hell is going on now. She and Dante finally moved into their new home three months ago. When she found out she was pregnant with Seamus, they both went a little overboard in getting the house set up so that it was practically bulletproof. There are enough safe rooms in this house to survive a nuclear bomb.

As I step into the kitchen, I'm greeted by the majority of my family. Makenna and Dante are sitting at the table. My sister looks pissed, her arms crossed over her chest as she glares at me.

My brother Denis and his wife, Callie, are here, as well as Denis' older kids, Danny, Malcolm, and Holly, and their spouses, Melissa, Raylee, and Romero. They're all seated at the island, each of them holding a cup in their hands.

When did they arrive? Why are they here? They hadn't planned a trip. Danny and Melissa live in London, Denis and Callie live in Dublin, and Malcolm and Raylee live in Spain.

All of a sudden, there’s a high-pitched squeal, which is followed by laughter. I groan. I love my nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, but damn... Nine kids under the age of four is too fucking many. Makenna and Dante have Seamus, and Danny and Melissa have two girls—Annalise and Hannah. Malcolm and Raylee have two little boys called Mayer and Malachy. Then my brother, Denis, has four kids himself under the age of four. Mary, Gareth, and then his twins—Fiadh and Tadgh. The only one missing is Chloe, who is fourteen. She must be outside with the kids.

This family is a walking billboard for contraception.

"I guess I missed the memo," I say dryly.

Makenna pushes to her feet. "You kidnapped Destiny fucking Carter!" she screams.

It takes a lot not to snarl back at her. "Kenna," I manage to get out, but my tone holds a warning.

She waves her hand in the air. "Don't," she snaps. "I don't want to hear it."

"Okay," Denis says, standing between us. "Let's not jump to conclusions."

He's always the peacemaker, but he wouldn't think twice about taking someone's life if they were a threat to our family.

"Did you or did you not take Destiny?" Makenna asks. The anger in her eyes makes me want to smile. She's a bloodthirsty little thing. It's why she makes such a great Boss.

"I did."

Her eyes flash with rage. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Why did you take her?" Denis asks, once again calmer than our sister.

"James Carter is the reason Da's dead, the one who gave the order for Holly to be taken, and why Jade and I were shot. I know that for a fact. Jade got word to me that she had proof.”

The shocked looks on my family's faces are nothing I hadn't expected. They truly believed James Carter was in the dark about what happened to our family. I believed otherwise. Makenna and Holly pleaded with me to drop it; said I was losing myself in revenge I shouldn't be seeking.
