“Understand what?” I snarl at the bastard. “That you betrayed the family? For a fucking woman you fucked?”

He swallows hard, sweat dripping from his temple. “Boss, I’m sorry. I would have never betrayed you. I wouldn’t have. But she’s a woman. We don’t harm innocent women.”

Christ, he’s actually trying to plead his case. There’s no excusing this.

“Useless,” Alex grunts. “Fucking useless.”

“How long have you and Maksim been in bed?”

His eyes widen and his lip curls. “What? No, we’re not together.”

Chuckles sound around us. God, what a moron.

“I’ll rephrase. How long have you been betraying us?”

He bows his head, his breath hitching as he mutters,“God, what have I done?”

“Jamie,” I say with very little patience.

But my words are ignored as he continues to mutter to himself.

“Answer him, man,” Bannon barks, urging him to do what I want.

Jamie’s head lifts at the sound of Bannon’s voice. He glances around the room, taking everyone in as he fidgets in his chains.

“Answer me,” I roar, getting annoyed with his fucking antics.

“Four months,” he says as he trembles, and I grit my teeth. The fucker has been doing this since the moment I got out of hospital. Fucking prick.

“Was it worth it?” I question, my tone menacing.

“No. I’m sorry.”

I scoff. “Your apologies mean nothing. You betrayed your family, and there’s no coming back from that.”

I nod to Jacob, who smiles widely. “On it,” he tells me, practically running from the warehouse. He’s fucking loving this, the sadistic fucker.

I reach into my pocket and pull out some latex gloves, then quickly put them on, before reaching back in and pulling out super glue and a butt plug.

“Christ,” Alex curses. “Boss, what the hell?”

I smile. What I’m about to do will ensure that Jamie’s betrayal won’t happen again.

I’ve killed other traitors by slitting their throats and shooting them, and I’ve tortured people slowly to extract information from them. I’ve killed in the worst ways possible, and yet nothing seems to deter these bastards. Well, maybe now they’ll think twice before betraying us.

“Before I get started... What does Maksim know?”

Jamie’s breathing is hard, his gaze firmly on the items in my hands.

I smile, and I know it’s conveying every ounce of anger I have. “What do you think I’m going to do to you? You don’t tell me, and I’m going to torture you—slowly. By the end of it, you’ll be unrecognizable, but I’ll have what I need.”

He swallows hard. “Shipment dates, times, and locations. He also knows where the farm is.”

Fucking prick.

I turn to Alex. “Call the Boss and let her know.” We have a shipment due in two days. Makenna has the biggest supply of narcotics in the States. If Maksim gets his hands on it, there will be no stopping him. Bastard. “Tell her about the farm. It’s time to move them.”

We have sixteen cannabis farms scattered along the entire US. The only one Jamie knows about is the one in Connecticut. The rest should be safe, but knowing my sister, she’ll up the security on them all.
