Tears burn at the back of my eyes. "I have you and Dad to thank for it. I couldn't have asked for two better parents."
She wraps her arms around me. "Your father and I are excited to be grandparents."
I pull back from her and grin. "About that," I begin, and her eyes narrow. "So, we've not told anyone this. But Denis is going to tell Chloe, and I want to tell you. I have a scan next week and Denis and I want to do a huge party to celebrate. We want you and Chloe to find out the genders and then do a huge reveal."
Her eyes widen and then fill with tears. "You want me to be at the scan?"
I nod. "Of course, if you want?"
Her tears spill over and fall down onto her cheek. "I'd be honoured."
"Okay, but Mam, what I tell you now and the genders. You're not allowed to tell anyone. Not even Dad."
She draws a cross over her heart. "Cross my heart, baby."
I give her a small smile, my excitement building. I'm so excited for everyone to find out. "We're having twins."
Her mouth drops open and forms an 'O', it's always great when I manage to shock her. "Really?"
"Really," I say. "It's going to be chaos when we all move in together."
She laughs softly. "But it's chaos you're looking forward to."
It really is. I adore Denis's children, they're his. There's no way I couldn't. But each of them have their own personalities and are ever so sweet. I'm honestly looking forward to getting to know them properly and then us being a family.

"Oh, where are you going all dressed up?" Makenna asks me.
I ignore her, knowing that as soon as I say I'm going to the pub to see Callie, she'll want to come, not only will she, but her husband, along with my kids and their spouses.
"Denis?" Her voice holds authority, it's the voice she uses when she's in boss mode. One that doesn't work on me.
"He's going to see Callie," Chloe says with a smile as she bounces into the kitchen. "She's working tonight and Da wants to make sure she's okay."
Makenna's lips twitch. "I could do with a night out."
I glare at my sister. "You're pregnant," I remind her.
She merely shrugs. "As is your girlfriend."
"She owns the place, she's not going there to hang out." My voice takes a harder tone to it.
"Da, but we all want to meet her," Holly whines, and her husband, Romero, shakes his head with a smile, he’s used to my daughter’s tactic to get her own way.
"I've already met her," Malcolm says with a grin.
Chloe nods. "So have I, she's the shit, isn't she? Mary and Gareth love her!"
Malcom's grin widens when he sees the narrowing of Holly's eyes. "Yeah, I can see why Da loves her."
God, they're shit stirrers.
"Da, that's not fair," Holly whines.
"I'm coming," Danny announces, but he's got a smile on his face.
