“Get Killian to work on it,” I tell him. My uncle is a machine. He has more contacts worldwide than the bloody pope and can get information faster than the rest of us.

“He can’t at the moment. He’s currently trying to get your cousin out of trouble.”

I frown. “Which one?” I have three.

“Jade, she’s being fucking noble. As soon as word spread I was moving into the Midwest and I wanted Hayden to become underboss, those fuckers came out of the woodwork.”

He’s talking about the Masters. They’re a syndicate that runs out of Chicago and they know if we move into their territory, they’re fucked. We’ll take them all out.

“They shot at Hayden and he returned fire, killing one of them. The cops were almost instantly on the scene. Jade’s taken the rap for it; she’s looking at doing time due to who we are.”

My cousins are close. My aunt Edwina has three kids, two boys and one girl. Hayes is the eldest and a fucking moron. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was thinking of joining forces with Pat, he’s that bloody simple. Hayden is next in line, and he’s a mean motherfucker. He’s a great fighter and took over teaching Makenna when she moved back to the States. He’s going to make a great boss one day, if he reigned in that hot head of his. Then there’s Jade, the only girl in the family, and she’s spoilt rotten, but she’s extremely close to Hayden. It’s not much of a surprise that she’s taking the fall for him.

“What’s Killian going to do, there’s no way she’s going to change her mind.”

Granda shakes his head. “I told him that, but prison for a woman like Jade will not be easy. She’ll be tested repeatedly.”

Women’s prisons in the US are notorious. The women are fucking bitches and would have no problem slitting each other’s throats. Then there are the male guards. Some stories I’ve heard from what goes on once it’s night time makes me want to level the place. The guards take whatever the fuck they want and don’t give a fuck. Many women have come out of prison pregnant. Yet, fuck all is done about it.

“She’ll be fine,” I say with no conviction. While Jade is more than capable of taking care of herself. Being in prison is different.

Granda nods. “Killian and Hayden will give her all the training she’ll need.”

I bloody hope that’s true.

“Now,” he says, and I take another pull from my beer. “I’ve had David looking into Zoe. I want to know what the fuck that bitch has been up to.”

I grit my teeth. If he’s bringing it up, it means he’s found something.

“From what David has found out, Zoe’s been fucking around on you for decades. He has a list of names…”

“I don’t care, she can fuck the damn pope for all I care.”

The wrinkles in his cheeks deepen as he smiles. “Thought you might say that. However, you may have a problem. Sean Kelly is the most likely father of Gareth.”

What a fucking bitch.

“Senior or Junior?” The Kellys are animals. They’re worse than Jerry Houlihan and that says a fucking lot. But Sean Senior is a bastard to even his kids. I’ve seen the devastation he’s wrought on his daughter. Making her stay married to the bastard who hurts her. If it were any of my daughters, I’d have offed the fuck the first time he laid a hand on them.

He shakes his head. “I’m not sure, neither is David.”

Fuck me, the fucking bitch has been with the two of them.

“Neither of them are getting my son.” I’d take them out before they even tried.

The satisfied smile on his face is enough to let me know that he, too, agrees with me. “They won’t. From what I gather, neither man knew the other was fucking her. They’re not happy.”

I bet. Jesus, Zoe has some bloody balls.

“It’s time for you to talk to Zoe. Explain things to her, let her know if she continues with her shit, she’s gone.”

I throw my head back and laugh. “God, Granda, don’t you think I have warned her? I’ve told her time and time again, but she’s got it in her head she’s untouchable.”

His lips thin, and his eyes fill with rage. “It’s time for me to have a sit down with her then.”

I smirk. I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation, but I know he won’t let me be near her when he threatens her.
