“Bullshit. I saw the men who took her. I also know that they’re in close allegiance with your uncle. There’s only one reason as to why they’d take her and that’s you.” Melissa doesn’t miss a beat, she continues to cut into her head, following along the edge of her scalp, Georgina’s a fucking mess, blood pours from her head like a flowing river.

“Keep lying, Georgina, we’ve no problem in making things worse for you. This is only the beginning, once Melissa has taken your scalp, it’s my turn, and I’ll be removing your digits. Then we’ll start sending pieces to your family. Which do you think would rile them up the most? Your fingers, toes, or scalp?”

Melissa snickers. “I personally say the scalp. It’s so cliche to send a finger.”

I’m fucking grateful my wife isn’t a fucking crazy bitch. These two are fucking psychos.

“We’re not going to kill you.” Georgina stills even more at Melissa’s words. “Oh no, that would be too fucking easy. See, people like you, Georgina, love the way they look, use it to get what they want.” The chuckle that leaves Melissa is sadistic. “What are you going to do when those looks are gone?”

“Please.” The fucking bitch whines and pleads. “I’ll tell you, I will.” Tears and blood soak her face as her gaze finds mine. “This is all your fault. You were mine.”

Red hot rage fills me, but I beat it back. I can’t do anything yet. I need this bitch to talk. I need to find out where my wife is.

“Where’s Holly,” Makenna demands, as Melissa moves to where Georgina’s ear is, she’s still being precise with her incisions. I’ve never seen anyone be scalped before, but I’d have thought it hurt a fuck of a lot and judging by the pain etched in Georgina’s eyes as well as the tears streaming down her face, I’d say my guess was right. I’m glad the fucking cunt’s in pain. If I had my way, she’d be in a world of it by the time I was finished with her.

She rattles off the address of a building downtown. “She’ll be dead before you even get there.” She sneers with glee before letting out a pained cry.

“Oops, that went in a little deeper than I had expected. Oh well,” Melissa grins.

“Who’s got her?” Makenna asks, her entire body strung tightly, her voice vibrating with anger.

“Jose Ortega.” Georgina’s grin is wicked, one that claims victory.

Jose Ortega is the head of the Mexican organized crime family. They’re not Mafia, more drug dealers, and they also deal in selling women. I wouldn’t be surprised if they worked alongside the Russians.

“He’s going to have fun with her before he kills her.” The bitch laughs.

Fuck that. No one is touching my wife.

I’m over to her in seconds, my hands wrapping around her throat. “If she’s not there, I’m going to take my fucking time as I drain your body of blood, I’m going to enjoy watching as the life leaves your eyes.”

Fear seeps into her features. Good. Fucking bitch.

“You were meant to be mine,” she whimpers, “you loved me.”

“No bitch, the only thing I liked was that you knew how to give head. That is it. You’re fucking useless. No one wants a used bitch for their wife.” My words are harsh, but I don’t care, she’s brought this on herself. Going after Holly was a sure-fire way to cement her death.

“Why would anyone want you...” Makenna asks, “when they have Holly?”

“You,” Melissa begins, waiting patiently to finish what she started, “are like a chuck steak, cheap, easy, and quick. Holly on the other hand is like a filet mignon. Tender, beautiful, and perfection.”

Now ain’t that the motherfucking truth.

“No one wants your cheap arse when they can have Holly. You should have moved on and found another man to try and worm your way into his bed. But instead, you chose to pursue a married man. You are what gives women a bad name.” Melissa looks at me. “You done with her now?”

I smile, she’s fucking bloodthirsty. “Sure, try to keep her alive, though. Just in case she’s fucking with us.”

Melissa fucking salutes me. “No worries, Romero, for what Kenna and I have planned for her, we need her alive and kicking.”

I chuckle as I turn away, knowing the women have her in hand and if she’s lying and Holly isn’t where she said, well then, it’ll be my turn to fucking play with her.

I nod toward Dante and move out of the basement, I hear him barking orders, making sure the women aren’t left alone. We won’t be making that mistake again. This time there’ll be enough guards on them to ensure they’re safe. Especially with Makenna being pregnant.

“I’m coming,” Ales says, catching up to me.

I don’t even glance at him, I don’t want him around me right now. While I understand he had a job to do, I don’t believe the way he went about it was the right way to do it. He should have told us, Dante especially, seeing as he’s now the boss.

“We’ll get her back,” he tells me, and I ignore him, right now I need to focus all my energy into Holly and making sure we find her.
