I sigh, “I’m going. Call if you need me, and please, for the love of all that’s holy, keep Danny out of trouble.”

“He can’t really get into much more, now can he?”

I glare at him, “Oh yes, he can. What if he does it again to someone over here?”

“Fucking idiot,” Killian grouses. “I’ll keep him out of trouble. Do you need anything?”

“Not right now, but if I do, I’ll call,” I tell him as I stand beside Dante, his hand immediately rests on my waist. “I need food.”

“Well let’s get you some. Wouldn’t want anyone thinking I’m not taking care of my bride,” Dante says as he tightens his hand on my waist and guides me out of the house. I wave goodbye to Killian and climb into the car.

The journey is quiet,I was trying to see if I could find another way for Danny but ultimately there isn’t. If he doesn’t marry Melissa, then a war will break out between the Gallagher’s and the Harding’s. While I have no issue with that happening if it needed to, I’d rather work it if there’s a way to bring the two biggest crime families in the UK together. That’s a good thing and I think if the shoe were on the other foot and it wasn’t Danny who had fucked up, he’d have agreed with me.

I pull up outside a small mom and pop restaurant. I eat here a lot, it’s owned by a friend of mine’s family and whenever I’m in town, I always stop by for some food. Dante, Romero, and Alessio follow behind me as I enter the restaurant.

“Mrs Bianchi, it’s lovely to see you again,” Maddie says and I laugh, she’s only calling me that because Dante’s here.

“Maddie, how are you?”

Her eyes flash as she takes in the men behind me. “I’m good, how are you? I heard you were shot.”

“Someone has a big mouth,” I reply knowing damn well that it was one or all of my brothers. “Maddie, this is Dante, my husband, and his brothers Romero and Alessio.”

“Nice to meet you gentlemen. Now, please, take a seat and I’ll bring you some menus. Can I get you anything to drink while you look over the menu?”

“Usual for me please,” I tell her as I slide into the back both.

“I’ll have a black coffee,” Dante says and sits beside me. After glancing at the menu, he orders a steak dinner. His hand coming to rest on my knee. I don’t listen to what the others want, my gaze is focused on my husband. “Are you okay?”

I nod, “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

He clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth. “Just asking. This is new territory for me,” he says quietly, making sure that his brothers don’t overhear. “Seeing you in the ring was difficult. I wanted to climb in there and smash your fucking nephew in the face.”

I smile at his caring words.

“But I was hard as fucking stone as I watched you beat the shit out of him. You drive me insane, Makenna. You’re fucking gorgeous, you look demure, like butter wouldn’t melt and yet you’re probably the most dangerous woman in the world.”

I shrug, “And I’m all yours.”

His eyes flash at my words and he nips at my lip. “Damn fucking straight you are. Tonight, I’m going to worship your body, baby. I have to give that tattoo of yours some attention.”

My breath hitches at his words. “I’m not going to stop you.”

Romero and Alessio take their seats opposite us and I turn my attention from my husband to them. I raise my brow when I see them both staring at me expectantly.

“Okay, I’ve gotta ask…” Alessio begin. “Who is Danny going to call Grandad and Granny?”

I smile, just thinking about him doing it. It’s going to be so much fun. I love fucking with my family and having him call my parents that will be perfect. “My Mom and Da. Denis, my brother, is my Da’s eldest child. He and Denis' mom were never married. Denis has too many fucking kids. I’m pretty sure his bitch of a wife is pregnant again, making it baby number six. Anyway, Danny is my nephew, which makes my da his granda.”

Alessio’s lips twitch, “Oh shit, that’ll be a fun dinner.”

I grin, “Yes, it’s going to be hilarious. I’ll drop the bombshell first about who I am.” Dante’s hand covers mine and his thumb starts to caress my skin. “Then, Danny will drop his bomb, which in turn will take the heat away from me and onto Da.”

Maddie comes back with our drinks and the conversation stops. Romero has a weird look on his face and I decide that now is the time to address the problem.

“You think I don’t like you, don’t you?” I ask him and watch as his brows knit together. “Answer me, please?” I ask nicely.
