I let out a scream and then I quickly kiss him so I don’t scream again.
I laugh and start to blush.
“You know they heard that, right?” Seth asks.
“I’m sure they’re standing at the door waiting for something to happen,” I say.
“The one with the glasses is cute as fuck.”
“Shut the fuck up, Seth. You are not going to screw my roommate. They’re my best friends. Okay?”
“You seem nervous.”
I grab Seth’s jaw. “If you even so much as think about touching Maz or Birdie, I promise you I will hurt you.”
“I like you like this,” he says. “You’re meaner. You’re scared but strong.”
“Yeah? Well I also need to be an exemplary college student in economics or else I’m fucked.”
“That’s what you’re failing? Economics?”
“That’s the start,” I say. “I got in trouble and then I skipped class again. I think I’m losing my mind, Seth. I’m in bed with you. I must be losing my mind.”
I inch closer to him and press my face to his chest.
He digs his fingers into my hair and I’m a goner.
It’s like instant sleep for me when he does that.
I’m not sure if I’m supposed to feel bad or not that we didn’t fuck, but I don’t really care.
I fall asleep and that’s the end of that.
In fact, I sleep so hard that I don’t wake up until the next morning.
I find myself alone in bed.
I sit up and look around for Seth.
Before I can say his name, I see a folder at the end of my bed.
I scramble to grab the folder.
There’s a note from Seth.
Figured this would buy you some time.
I’m always here for you, Jaci. Even when I’m not.
I had to leave in the middle of the night.
No, I did not fuck your roommates either.
Even though they looked delicious while they slept.
Icurl my lip and grit my teeth.
I open the folder and I gasp.
