“No,” he says. “You should know who you are, love. Who your family is. I’m done with this bullshit.”
Cullen opens the bedroom door.
He screams for Ronan and Laz.
I scramble out of the bed.
“What are you going to do?” I ask.
“He wants to start a fucking war?” Cullen asks. “I’m ready for it.”
“No,” I say. “Not because of me. I’m not worth it.”
“You are worth it, Jaci,” Cullen says. “Believe me. You are.”
Cullen bellows Ronan and Laz’s names again.
I lunge for the door and slam it shut.
I lock it.
Behind me on the screen I hear the scream of a woman.
Cullen stares down at me.
He’s pissed. He looks… evil.
I grab for his shirt with my left hand.
My right hand touches between his legs.
I grip.
I feeleverything.
I gently pull.
We’re not leaving this bedroom yet.
Chapter 28
He’s enraged.
And hard.
He wants to leave the room and go start a war with Archer.
Or maybe that war’s already been started.
I’m not sure what the truth is, but I know my presence is nothing but the equivalent of striking a match and throwing it into a container of gasoline.
My hand stays between his legs as I get closer to him.
Cullen isn’t just hard… he’s… large.
I grit my teeth and slide my hand up his shirt, touching the hard muscles of his stomach.
He makes his move.
