Like I could control anything about this situation?

My body was on fire, and I wouldn’t have been able to stop the orgasm if my life depended on it. Clenching my teeth, I tried to hold back my scream as much as possible as the orgasm ripped through me.

Boz slowed his strokes as he brought me back down to earth.

“You’re beautiful, dulcita, and I’ll never get tired of that sexy little smile you give after you’ve climaxed.” Standing up, he lifted me enough to move me all the way into my bed. My head hit the pillow and suddenly I felt like I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Daddy tucked me in and kissed my forehead.

“Good night,piccola.”

“Night night, Daddy.”

Chapter Fourteen

Bosco

You’re going to want to see this.

Zio texted me from the bakery where he was supposed to be picking up our samples to start testing out on our customers. I would have gone, but I had been caught on a call about the bathtub that was being delivered for Laney’s apartment. Letting my employees know I’d be back, I left the restaurant and made the short walk to see what was going on.

The closed sign was up, and the curtains were drawn which really piqued my interest. I knocked and Zio came to the door, an easy smile on his lips.

“What’s going on?” I asked as I stepped into the shop, and he locked the door behind me.

“See for yourself.” He gestured to two opposite corners of the room that were inhabited by Melody and Laney. Confused, I turned back to my brother who was barely holding on to his laughter.

“Che diavolo?”What the hell?

“I came to get the platter and walked in to these two engaging in heated words and a food fight.”

“What!” I had definitely not anticipated that.

“She started it!” Melody turned to argue, and Laney followed suit. I could see the evidence that my brother was not indeed making this up all over the front of their aprons.

“I did not. You flung batter at me first!” Laney pointed at Melody like she was pointing out the guilty party from the witness stand.

“I wouldn’t have thrown it if you weren’t being so mean,” Melody huffed.

“I wasn’t being mean; I was grumpy, and I told you to leave me alone and you wouldn’t quit!” Laney threw her hands in the air.

“That’s cuz you’re my friend and I love you and I don’t want you to be upset and you’ve been grumpyallday.”

Laney dropped her arms and sighed. “I’ve been slaving my behind off for you. And you’re just flitting around like you have no responsibilities, leaving me to do everything when I’ve only been here two weeks and have no idea what I’m doing!”

“You take that back! You are amazing at this job, and I have been working just as hard. I gave you a job here because all I wanted was to see you, but you’re a natural and I’m so glad you’re here. I missed you so much.”

“Pfft. If you miss me so much, why the heck aren’t you ever here or home? I feel like I haven’t seen you at all since the first day!”

Mel’s eyes filled with tears, and I decided it was time for me to step in.

“Laney.” I called her attention to me, and she crossed her arms back over her chest. The little firecracker was looking for a fight, but I wasn’t going to give her one. “You have my utmost apologies for how things have gone around here since you arrived. Between Melody’s injury and our new dynamic, it’s my fault she has not been around as much to help.”

“Yeah, but you’re not my best friend, she is, and she coulda at least said something about it.”

“She was obeying her Daddy.” I pulled out the big guns hoping to diffuse the whole situation and thankfully it seemed to work. Tears tracked down both girls’ faces as they shared a sad look.

“I’m so sorry,” Melody apologized.

“Me too,” Laney agreed, and they ran to hug each other.
