Levi: What’s Killian doing?
Ross: Still planning your wedding at this dumb ass country club. He’s yours when you want him.
Levi: We want him now.
Ross: Text me when you leave.
Ross: And tell Callie I said she’s pretty.
Ross: But don’t let Damon hear.
Levi: Idiot.
“Happy?”
His jaw ticks but he forces a cocky ass grin, pushing himself off the counter to level with me.
“Kai, don’t–”
His hips bump mine and he rests his hands on the marble either side of me, caging me in with his big ass body and his baby blue eyes – eyes filled with something that looks an awful lot like heat, but I know better.
Kai doesn’t like liars.
He’s also a lot more sensitive than he looks.
He won’t say it out loud – he’d rather run his big mouth and play these stupid games than tell me about his feelings – but I know the truth.
I hurt him when I hurt his family and he’s pissed at me.
“Kai.”
“What, Lev?” he whispers, dipping his head to tease my mouth with his.
I ignore that and grab his jaw, pushing his face back an inch to look him in the eye. “I’m sorry, okay? I know I fucked up before but you don’t have to do this. I won’t break him or cheat on him or any of this other shit runnin’ through your head right now. And I’m not just fuckin’ him. I love him, Kai. Only him.”
He licks his lips and bounces his eyes between mine, openly searching for intent, but then the tension fades and he nods, satisfied with whatever he sees.
“Fine,” he shrugs, tossing me my phone back. “I like pussy better, anyway.”
I snort and shove his head away, knowing that’s Kai speak for I forgive you, fucker. He shoves the gun Elijah gave him just now into the waistband of his jeans and I do the same with mine, looking up when I spot Wren walking downstairs with Damon and Callie following closely behind him.
It’s not her birthday for another few hours, but Ross told us Killian’s fixing to kidnap us again tomorrow for this fucking wedding he’s planning, which is why we’re gonna take him by surprise and kidnap him tonight, hit him where it hurts and take every fucking thing he has, starting with the second thing he loves most.
His money.
“You boys ready?” Callie asks, grinning from ear to ear at the thought of what we’re about to do.
I nod and crook a finger at Wren, taking his gun from the island to slide it into his waistband. He jolts when my hand brushes his dick and I smirk, curling my fingers beneath his hoodie to pull his mouth to mine.
“Lev..”
“Later, baby,” I whisper, pulling back a bit to adjust my cock in my jeans.
Callie wiggles her brows at me and I flip her off, smiling to myself when I realize she’s wearing the big ass hoodie I gave her in the park that night – the same one she was wearing when I ran into her in the hall that first day at school all those months ago.
She forgives me, too.
Just as I think it, Damon freezes where he stands and looks from his wife to me and back again, pulling his head back when it hits him. “Is that his?”
