“No one, I swear.”
“So you didn’t send it to that whore you call a cousin?” He raises a brow, gripping his hair to force his head back. “I don’t like liars, little boy.”
“Okay, okay.” He rushes out, squeezing his eyes shut. “I sent it to her so she could see it but that’s it. I swear to god I didn’t know what she was gonna do with it.”
Kai narrows his eyes a moment, thinking. “You think he’s telling the truth, brother?”
“Not sure, brother.” Wren muses, cocking his head. “Maybe we should test him just in case.”
“How?”
“We could pull all his teeth out?”
“Couple broken ribs might get him talkin’.” Kai adds, grinning when Jesse pales and struggles in his grip.
“You could drown him.” Callie offers, shrugging. “All you need is a cloth and a little cold water. Works like magic.”
All heads turn her way and she frowns, looking at me when I raise a brow. “You’ve done that before?”
“Dean caught a rat once.” She tells me, grinning at the memory. “It was a girl rat so he let me play with her for a bit. I made that little bitch spill her guts within minutes. Then he slit her throat.” She adds, pouting. “He wouldn’t let me do that part.”
I blink, honest to god wondering how much she’d fight me on it if I dragged her sexy little ass on a plane and forced her to marry me tonight.
“Who even is this crazy bitch?” Jesse pulls his head back, shrinking in on himself when we slide our eyes to his.
“That’s not very nice now, is it?” Kai teases, tapping his cheek. “Better say sorry to Damon’s girl before he gets mad. You remember what he’s like when he’s mad, don’t you?”
He swallows and pales some more, looking at Callie. “I’m sorry.”
“Apology accepted.” She grins, leaning over the counter to steal a piece of bacon. “So are we drowning this little fucker or what? I’m starving.”
I laugh and kiss her lips, then I step right up to Jesse and grip his throat to force his eyes up to mine. “You lying?”
“No.”
“You sure?”
“Positive.”
I study his face a moment, nodding once I’m satisfied he’s telling the truth. “You show your face at one of our boy’s parties again, we’ll pull your teeth out. You ever step foot in Westbrook without our fuckin’ say so, we’ll break your ribs. And if you tell any fuckin’ one about this, we’ll let my girl play with you for as long as she damn well pleases, then we’ll do all of the above and then some. Got it?”
He nods wildly, terrified.
I release him with a shove and step back, watching Wren when he steps forward and pulls his fist back to smack him right between the eyes. Jesse’s eyes roll and his ass hits the floor like a sack of shit, the chair he’s taped to going right down with him.
And then he’s out cold.
“Sleep tight, motherfucker.” Wren winks, tossing the phone in the air just to catch it again. “Let’s go eat.”
We smirk as one and follow him outside, ignoring Sheila’s cries while she rushes over to her grandson’s side.
“Aren’t you worried she’ll rat you out to the cops?”
I laugh at that, taking Callie’s hand to pull her into me. “Baby, you got a helluva lot to learn about this new life of yours.”
“Is that right?” She teases, but I don’t miss the way she tenses at my words.
I ignore that, leaning in to speak over her lips. “First lesson. Kingstons do what they want, when they want, where they want, and any fucker who thinks they stop us.. can’t. End of fuckin’ story.”
