Damon’s grip on my hand tightens and I frown, feeling hella awkward when I realize he’s just read my mind.
“You want pancakes, don’t you, sister?” Kai grins, wiggling his brows.
“I’m good.” I laugh lightly, moving to slide from beneath Damon. “You boys go do your thing. Imma go take a shower-”
Damon snatches my waist to pull me back down to him and the twins laugh, both standing to leave without having to be told. The door closes and I sigh, looking at Damon when I feel his eyes on me, watching.
“Just say it.”
“You don’t eat meals.”
I nod, shrugging. “So?”
“So go put some clothes on and come eat with us.”
“Damon-”
He spins me on my front to smack my bare ass and I squeal, turning my head to glare at him over my shoulder.
He just grins, the sexy prick.
“You’ve smacked me for every time I’ve told you no, haven’t you?”
He licks his lips and wraps my hair around his fist, leaning over me to speak in my ear. “I don’t like being defied, punk.”
“Liar.”
He smirks and I smirk back.
Then I shove his big ass off me and stand to go do as I’m told. Once I’m dressed in a clean pair of shorts and a tank, I head downstairs and freeze on the bottom step because not only does the guy cook, he cooks shirtless, and fuck if he doesn’t look damn good while he’s doing it.
I walk for the kitchen and pour myself a coffee from the pot, shamelessly eyeing him and his form while he does his thing. He doesn’t look up, but the little tip on the one side of his lip tells me he knows I’m here, and he knows I’m watching him.
Wren and Kai drop their asses down at the island and I drop down opposite them, hiding a laugh when they argue some more and start smacking each other about fuck knows what. Damon slides me a plate of pancakes across the counter and tosses me the Nutella, once again knowing what I want and how I want it without having to ask.
“You’re gettin’ way too cocky for my liking, big brother.” I raise a brow, spooning a shit load across my food. “I don’t like it.”
He laughs lightly and comes up behind me, leaning over to speak in my ear. “Liar.”
I glare and he winks, the prick, dropping down in the empty seat next to mine. I’m just about to shovel my first bite, but then the asshole snatches my waist and lifts me onto his lap. He slides my plate towards me and wraps one arm around my waist, digging in to his own food as if this is completely normal behavior. The twins hit me with their stupid ass grins so I flip them off, but I don’t move.
Just then, Katherine appears from the master bedroom wearing the same scowl that’s been plastered on her face for the last two days. Her step falters a little bit when she sees me and where I’m sitting but she doesn’t stop on her way to the elevator.
Honestly, she looks fucking nervous.
Damon follows her with his eyes while he teases my neck with his mouth and I smirk, reading his mind.
The clear disgust on her face has me laughing.
“She’s been warning me away from you boys since day one.” I tell them, speaking around the chocolate covered heaven in my mouth. “Which makes no fuckin’ sense to me because why would she care?”
“Maybe she does.” Wren offers, eyeing me.
Kai shrugs. “Deep down.”
“Real deep down.”
I snort because no, that's not it.
