Mine.
His brows raise and he grins, lifting his hands and backing up go find another to keep him company tonight.
“So much trouble.” Wren whispers, laughing his lazy ass off when I shove his head away.
“Shut the fuck up.”
Chapter 15
Callie
“Are you out of your motherfucking mind?”
I roll my eyes and slam my locker shut, turning to Rachel. “You know.”
“Yes, I know.” She hisses, blindly flicking her wrist towards the hall packed with students who haven't taken their eyes off me since I got here twenty minutes ago. “The whole fucking school knows, Callie.”
I nod because yeah, I figured.
Judging by the group chat that’s been blowing up my phone for the last twelve hours, someone saw me having dinner with Katherine the other night, told someone who told the entire school and here we are. I don't know who it was, but even if I did, there's not a damn thing I can do about it now.
They all know and they're out for blood.
Since finding out who I am and where I'm staying at night, the guys are mostly eyeing me like they want to eat me alive and the girls are mostly sneering like they'd rather see me dead than sleeping just a few feet away from their beloved kings.
I sigh and take the coffee Rachel offers me, eyeing the brown paper bag in her hand. “Is that a chocolate croissant?”
“Maybe.” She teases, pulling it back when I try to take it. “I want details.”
“You're gonna bribe me with chocolate?” I raise a brow, moving to follow her to first period.
“Well, yeah. It either was this or weed.”
I laugh at that, shaking my head at her. “You're crazy.”
“And you're Katherine Kingston's daughter.” She informs me, looking a little put out. “Why didn't you tell me?”
I shrug and take my seat in math, not giving her an answer at first, but then I remember she's been nothing but cool to me since I got here so I figure I owe her some kind of explanation, even if it's only a half truth.
“Because I'm not.”
She eyes me, dropping her ass down in the seat next to mine. “What?”
“I'm not her daughter.” I explain, snatching my croissant to take a big bite. “I'm her blood, yeah, but that's it. She left me in the hospital the day I was born, took off to do fuck knows what and never came back. My Dad died a few weeks ago and she showed up out of the blue, took custody of me and bought me here. I had no idea who she was or who she was married to until I got here.”
“Damn.” She mutters, frowning while she processes. “What a bitch.”
I laugh lightly. “Yeah.”
“Okay, please tell me you're fucking Damon.”
I roll my eyes, speaking around my food. “I'm not fucking anyone.”
“But you want to.” She smirks, sliding her eyes to the door. “How have you not done it yet? I'd jump his sexy ass and beg him to choke me if he looked at me the way he looks at you.”
I snort, following her line of sight to eye the Kingston brothers while they walk inside. They eye me right back and I lick the chocolate from my lips, ignoring the heat in Damon's eyes and sliding my glare to the big mouth I know is Kai because he's wearing a stupid ass grin the size of Texas, the fucker. He pulls his head back at first, confused, then realization hits and he laughs at me, walking over to kiss my fucking cheek in front of the thirty seniors watching his every move.
“Wasn't me, little sister.”
