I grin, walking him out to the balcony to tip my chin at the lit up pier in the distance. “I choose there.”
Chapter 30
Callie
“I can’t believe you’re choosing Rachel over me.” Kai pouts, following me and Wren down the stairs. “I’d make a way better priest than her.”
I roll my eyes, kicking these stupid shoes off my feet to carry them the rest of the way because fuck me, these things should come with a hazard warning.
“Okay, first of all, she’s not a priest, she’s a minister.” I explain, snatching my new heels from the floor. “And second of all, we already told you the website said you had to be eighteen, so you couldn’t have done it anyway.”
“This sucks.” He mutters, still pouting. “And I wanted to go to Cancun. You’re ruining everything.”
“Quit bein’ a baby.”
“I’m not a baby.”
“You sure?” I raise a brow, sliding my eyes to the elevator.
His widen in fear and I make a run for it, laughing my ass off when he chases me. “Don’t you dare!”
I rush through the doors to press the button and he growls, shoving my ass when I grin like an asshole. “I win.”
“I hate you.”
“You love me.”
A teeny little smile crosses his lips and I laugh, wrapping my arms around his waist to kiss his nose.
That has him grinning.
Wren shakes his head at us and checks his Rolex for the third time in sixty seconds, looking hella nervous.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Levi’s down there.” He mutters, locking his jaw. “The fucker keeps getting in my face and pinning me to walls and shit. I don’t like it.”
“Liar.”
“Liar.”
He glares and we laugh, walking through the lobby to head down to the beach where my soon to be husband is not so patiently waiting for me. Rachel made him leave with her a couple hours ago so I could get ready and cover the mess she made of my face, said some shit about how it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding and took him with her. She’s been blowing up my phone ever since, probably regretting her own decision because he’s driving her bat shit crazy.
We get to the the wooden path that leads to the pier and I bend to put my heels back on, sneaking a quick look at the sunset over the horizon as I do.
Fuck, I love this place.
Kai wraps his arm around my neck and Wren takes my hand in his, both keeping me as close as possible while we walk down to the edge of the pier to meet everyone else. Damon leans back with his elbows on the railing and his busted up hands clenched into fists, wearing black slacks and white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the top two buttons undone, making him look like a motherfucking god. Elijah and the boys are dressed the same way and Rachel looks smoking hot in her little black dress, but Damon.. fuck me, he’s sexy.
Wren laughs lightly beside me and I frown, sliding my eyes to him. “What?”
“Nothin’.” He shrugs, dropping his eyes to hide a cocky little smirk.
I raise a brow and follow his line of sight, rolling my lips when I spot Levi’s eyes narrowed in on our hands.
I swear to god that guy hates me.
Elijah bumps Damon’s shoulder with his and he does a double take at us, raising his brows when he gets a look at me and the blood red dress I picked up on my shopping trip with the boys just now. It’s skin tight, strapless, sits mid thigh and wasn’t even a little bit expensive, but he doesn’t seem to mind. He pushes off the edge to rush me and I grin like an idiot, wrapping my hands around his neck.
