Andre kisses Naomi on the head. "I'm going to shower."
So those two are getting it on, too.
Why can't Axel kiss me in front of them?
If his fearless leader is banging his target, why can't he claim me as his in front of everyone?
This doesn't matter. Only Millie matters. Stop these childish thoughts.
Andre goes to shower, and Naomi follows him shortly after.
"Looks like those two are about to have some fun shower time." Zoe smirks.
I smirk back. "And what about you?"
"What about me? What about you?" She opens the cabinet and reaches for the contents.
I almost tell her, but Axel doesn't seem to want anyone to know about us. "Not sure what you are talking about."
"Please. He's tall, dark, and handsome, and you're gorgeous and could be a runway model. Plus, I saw how he looked at you."
"How he looked at me?" Heat flares in my cheeks, thinking about his typical hungry expression whenever he glances at me, but I've not seen it since we arrived.
"Yep." She fills a pot of water and turns it on to boil then sorts through Tinker's cooking utensils and pans.
Did I imagine his cooler attitude?
The water boils, and Zoe puts a strainer over it to steam the husks, and the house shakes. The pot of water flies off the stove and comes crashing down on her arm. She screams.
"Zoe. Penelope," Andre's voice booms.
"Kitchen," I yell and jump up to help her. I move her to the sink and hold her arm under cool water.
"Oh God! It hurts so bad!" she cries.
"Shhh." I hold her head to my chest.
Andre comes into the kitchen in nothing but a towel.
Are any of these guys not a poster child for ripped and sexy?
"What happened?" he asks.
"I think we just had a small earthquake. The pot fell on her arm," I reply.
"Let me get my first aid kit," he replies.
Naomi comes into the kitchen. "I'll get it."
"I'll go put clothes on," Andre says.
We spend the next fifteen minutes attending to Zoe's arm. Andre applies lotion and bandages it. He hands Zoe a painkiller. "Take this."
She hesitates but says, "No, thanks."
I don't know a lot about addiction. I'm not sure if taking medicine will harm her or not. I'm proud of her for turning it down, but she has to be in excruciating agony.
Andre holds it out to her again. "It's just over the counter. It'll help with the pain."
