He doesn't know about her.

Don't tell him. This could be a trick. I thought wrong about William.

"How do you know those facts about me?"

"Interpol sent it. I have a folder on you."

"A folder?"

"Yes. Do you want to see it?"

"Please."

He goes to the backpack Malin removed his socks from and pulls it out.

"Thanks for the socks," I blurt out.

His eyes are a slow burn of fire, singeing my skin, as they travel down my body and stop at my feet.

I squirm then straighten my posture.

He takes his time tilting his head back up my body, pausing on my sex and breasts before meeting my gaze. "Do you want to get out of those clothes, green eyes?"

Heat rushes to my face.

Green eyes? No one's ever called me that. I just met this man and he's already given me a nickname. I should reprimand him and keep it formal between us. He could be part of the Global Leaders. But my raging hormones don't set him straight about the nickname.

And I like how it rolls off his tongue. It makes me feel special to him, which I'm not. I'm just a woman he was told to rescue. He probably calls all women blue eyes, or brown eyes, or green eyes. But I want him to call me it again.

God, yes. Please. Let's take off all our clothes and do whatever you want with me.

Stop thinking like this!

"I have a T-shirt you could put on so you don't have to stay in dirty clothes. If you sit down, I'll wash your hands and feet."

He's going to clean my body?

Oh God!

"Ummm... I...ugh..."

Why can I only make unintelligible sounds?

"Promise I won't bite."

Please bite me anywhere you want.

I've lost my marbles. Once again, this won't help get Millie back.

The more my face scorches, the cockier his expression becomes. He picks his bag off the floor while continuing to stare at me and digs back in his bag, never breaking our gaze. He pulls out a T-shirt and hands it to me. "Put it on."

"Are you going to watch me?"

His jaw twitches. "Do you want me to watch you?"

I don't respond.

He chuckles. "Ignore me. I'm around the guys a lot. Sometimes I forget the difference between guy and girl banter."
