Tinker really is clueless when it comes to women.
So are you. Don't get cocky just because Julieta is yours.
She's still mine. You got lucky she forgave you.
"Thanks." Naomi hugs Julieta and Vanessa.
Tinker hands out more beers.
"Want to tell me what happened to your faces?" Andre demands again.
"Drop it," Tinker says.
Andre sighs. "When did you get here?"
"Yesterday," I reply.
"Did you come together?"
We disclose to Andre how Hunter shot out the tires of the Jeeps when Kalim caught us leaving.
"Did he know the coordinates, at least?"
"No. I'm sure he called Interpol though," I say.
Naomi paces the room and starts worrying about her sister, Emilia.
"Axel and Dirk got out before you left?" Andre asks.
"Yep. Only ones left were us," Hunter confirms.
"Good."
"You didn't run into issues coming across the border?"
Hunter and I exchange a glance, and he says, "We all came out alive and in one piece."
Andre snorts. "Not going to ask what that means."
Hunter shifts the conversation so they inform us about what happened during their journey to Omoa and how Naomi's ex-boyfriend is involved in drugs and called Interpol to turn Andre in.
We have a quick discussion about passports, and Tinker says, "I think you should go to Cuba."
"Cuba? Why there?" Andre asks.
"I have a friend who can help you get in. He works for immigration."
"Cuba is communist," Vanessa blurts out.
"So?"
She shakes her head. "I'm not going to any communist country and you two shouldn't, either." She points to Naomi and Julieta.
"Why not?" Andre asks.
Vanessa focuses on Naomi. "Don't go there."
"Why did the guerillas take you?"
