She doesn't talk, but her body trembles in my arms. I shield her head with my hand when we go through thicker foliage. "Keep your head against my chest, ma'am. It's dense here."
She still doesn't talk.
What is that amazing smell?
The smell of a woman.I almost groan. But it's not like other women I remember being with, granted it's been forever. It flares in my nostrils and stirs every cell of my being.
You need to get laid soon so you aren't affected like this on missions.
This is so inappropriate.
When we get to the Jeep, Axel is standing guard over his target, who sits in the back seat. He gets in the driver's side. I put Julieta in the back and secure her seat belt, inhaling as deeply as I can her intoxicating scent before getting in the passenger side.
We are the first ones to arrive at camp. Axel and I both get out, but the women already have as well.
"Are you okay?" I quietly ask Julieta as my heart thumps hard.
"Who are you?" she asks in a raspy voice, sending my dick into a pulsing state of chaos.
I remove my goggles, and she breathes sharply again. Blood pounds in my ears as we stare at each other.
"Your name?" she asks.
Snap out of it.
"My name is Ryker McCarthy. I'm in special op rescues with Interpol."
"Interpol?"
"Yes, ma'am. It's an international organization that keeps peace in the world."
The blood in her face drains. "International?"
Why does she look so scared?
"Yes, ma'am."
She puts her hand over her mouth and turns her face away from me.
I put my hand on her shoulder, and she steps away and shrugs out of my grasp.
"Ma'am? Can you tell me what's wrong? I won't hurt you."
The sound of tires on the dirt fills the air. She jumps.
"It's only Dirk and Hunter," I assure her.
She puts both hands over her face and takes deep breaths.
I step closer to her. "Ma'am?"
She spins. "Are you part of them?"
"Who?"
"The Global Leaders."
"I don't know who you're referring to."
