She shakes her head.
"Please, tell me what I've done."
"Nothing," she cries out and sobs harder.
I pull her into my chest and hold her tight, stroking her hair. "Shh."
She shakes in my arms, as if cold, so I grab the blanket, wrap it around her, and then embrace her tight.
"Are you cold?"
"No. I'm...I'm tired. So tired." She sobs further.
"Shh." I scoot down, so I'm laying almost flat on the ground. "Then close your eyes."
It seems like forever comes and goes before she stops crying and falls asleep. I don't know what I did. I'm not sure what is upsetting her. But I know I need to find out.
