I pull my business card out of my wallet and toss it in front of him. "My cell is on it. Send me the address in New York where she used to live."

He picks it up and taps it on the counter. "Why?"

"She wants her stuff. I'm going to get it for her."

"How?"

"Don't worry about it. Send it to me tonight."

He arches an eyebrow. "The cops are already involved. It's best if we stay away. Whatever she left, we can replace."

"Text me the address," I repeat.

"What address?" Anna asks.

I spin. "A property Chase said Vivian is looking at for her foundation, right?" I turn back to him.

He puts my card in his pocket and rises. "Yep."

I take Anna's bag out of her hand. "Are you ready?"

She nervously glances between us. "Yeah."

"See you later, Chase." I put my hand on Anna's back and steer her toward the door.

"When are you coming back?" Chase asks in an annoyed voice.

Anna freezes. "Ummm..."

I meet his challenging stare. He may be her brother and watching out for her, but I've made my intentions clear. I'm not having her worrying about what he thinks. "Not for a few days. We have a lot of work to do. It's a large project, and we need to get back on schedule. Is there something specific you need her back for?"

"No. Nothing is going on here," Anna chimes in with a stern voice.

That's my girl. You can speak for yourself.

"Good to know. You know where to find her if needed. Don't forget to send me the information."

Chase follows us through the penthouse. "Call me if you need a ride at any time, Anna."

I spin. "If she wishes to leave at any time, I will escort her home."

The elevator opens, and Vivian walks in. "Dmitri. Anna. Chase." She glances suspiciously between us. "What's going on?"

"I'm going to Dmitri's for a few days," Anna replies.

Vivian tries to hide her smirk. "Okay. Have fun."

"We'll see you both later," I say and lead Anna into the elevator. When the doors shut, I hit the button for the lobby, then the stop one. I drop the bag and tug Anna into me then kiss her.

She kisses me back until the alarm goes off. I hit the button, and she breathlessly asks, "What was that for?"

"You told me not to kiss you in front of your brother. You didn't say anything about the elevator."

Her lips twitch. "Thanks for coming up. That was easier for me than having to deal with him on my own."

I cup her cheek and stroke her jawline with my thumb. "A real man doesn't send his woman into an ambush."

"Was Chase that bad?"
