I hold her cheeks. “You can. I’m asking you to stay and telling you I’ll take care of you. If you can’t agree to that right now, promise me you’ll think about it.”

She sighs.

“Harper—”

“Okay. I’ll think about it.”

I kiss her and squeeze her ass. “Turn so I can spoon you. We need some sleep while Hope is conked out.”

She turns, and I wrap my body around her. We fall asleep, and when I wake up, the sun has risen and light streams through the window.

I lean over and kiss her collarbone and neck then brush my lips on hers.

She stirs and turns to me. Her green eyes flutter open, and she smiles. “Hey.”

“I was thinking about what you said.” I kiss her cheekbone.

“What did I say?”

“About taking the day off.”

Her eyes light up. “Are you going to?”

I slide my body on top of hers and my hands in her hair. “If I take the day off, I’m going to show you what you’re missing if you leave.” I pull her into a deep kiss, and she holds me tight. “I owe you hours of being hot...” I move my hand under her pants and stroke her slit. “Wet...”

“Oh my God! Eww!” Quinn’s voice rings in the air.

We freeze. Harper’s eyes widen.

Oh shit.

Hope cries out, and Harper and I bang heads looking toward the bassinet.

“Ow,” Harper cries out.

“Sorry,” I tell her.

Quinn rushes in and picks up Hope and kisses her. “Hey, baby girl. Momma missed you so much.”

“Ma-ma.” Hope grabs Quinn’s hair.

“Yes. I missed you.” Quinn kisses her again and spins. “Have you two been having sex in front of my child all week?”

I groan and roll off Harper, and we both rise.

“I thought you weren’t back until Sunday?” I ask.

“There was a hurricane coming to St. Lucia, and they made everyone evacuate.” She bounces Hope on her hip. “Plus, I missed you so much, didn’t I?”

“Quinn, what’s wrong?’ Jamison walks in then stares at Harper and me. A thick line forms between his eyebrows.

They are going to rip my head off and never let me see Hope again.

Quinn smirks at Harper and me.

Harper throws her robe on. “Hope had a fever last night. I felt her tooth on the upper right side coming in. She’s okay now.”

“Oh no, sweet girl. Did you have a rough night?” Quinn asks her.
