I grab the key card from her hand then slide it into the slot. I quickly hit the thirteen button, ignoring the goose bumps on my arms.

It's just a number,I remind myself.

"Get out of my building," Pina orders.

I ignore her. When the door opens, I put my arm around her waist and guide her into the hall.

"Tristano—"

"Do you want your neighbors to hear?" I ask, knowing Pina's a private person.

She closes her mouth, giving me more evil eyes.

"You're kind of cute when you're all pissed off," I confess.

"Shut up," she snaps.

I chuckle then get to her door. I wait for her to open it. "We don't have all day."

She angrily shakes her head at me then punches in the code.

Six-Nine-Seven-One,I repeat in my head, memorizing it and pushing the thoughts of the seven out of my mind.

We step inside, and she spins, jabbing me in the chest. "You have a lot of nerve coming here."

"When you finish acting like a brat, let me know," I state.

She puts her hand on her hip. "What do you want, Tristano?"

"Can we sit down and take a breather?" I ask, trying to ignore the erection pressing against my zipper, even though she's giving me a hard time.

She crosses her arms over her chest. "Sorry if I'm not in the mood to entertain. Now, what do you want?"

"Sit down," I command.

"I don't take orders from you. I work for Dante." She smirks.

"Last warning. Sit. Down," I repeat.

She scoffs. "Last warning? I don't know who you think you'r—"

Fuck this.

I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder.

She starts kicking and hitting me. "Let me down!"

I slap her ass. "Stop fighting me." The sound echoes in the room.

It only makes her try to hurt me more. She knees me in the stomach, almost knocking the wind out of me.

I smack her again, walking toward the bedroom but stop dead in my tracks in front of another room.

She beats on my back. "Tristano! I'm going to kill you! Let me go!"

"You have a dungeon?" I question.

She freezes.
