"I'm not sure yet, but I'll figure it out."

"We have limited time. The longer that ship sits out in open waters, the more risk we have of Leo being picked up," I declare.

Papà rises. "No one makes a move without my permission. Gianni, you've got thirty minutes to figure out some solutions. Meet me in my office and we'll discuss your thoughts on the matter. Massimo and Tristano will interrogate Sam in the dungeon when he arrives. Dante, you're to meet with Rubio. All shipments get double-checked two miles away from US territory before entering the port. Until I say otherwise, we're officially on heightened security."

"Got it." I stand, exchange another glance with Gianni, and walk with Papà out of his office. I go directly to the garage. It's snowing again, so I grab the keys to my Land Rover.

As soon as I get out of the gate, I tap the accelerator and hit the call button.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't my favorite boss," Pina answers.

I grunt. "I'm not giving you another raise. Save your suck-up talk for another day."

"And I see Mr. Grouchy is here. What can I do for you?"

"I want all our suppliers double-checked."

The line turns quiet.

"Pina? You there?"

She clears her throat. All teasing is gone from her voice. Pina doesn't get access to all our business, but she knows enough that if I'm double-checking our suppliers, I suspect a traitor in our house. I hope everyone is clean, but you can't take any chances when other families try to set you up with the FBI. The FBI is the enemy. It's a signal of full-on war, and the Abruzzos don't need to send any more messages. They'll stop at nothing to destroy us. There's no denying the reality of our situation. She replies, "Yeah. On it."

"I want all reports. Nothing gets overlooked."

"Done."

I hang up and head to the port. I turn, and my phone rings. I glance at the screen, answering, "Killian. What's up?"

"I'm sticking my nose where I shouldn't."

My gut dives. "What do you mean?"

"Liam just told me Finn and Brenna took the jet to New York."

More dread erupts. "Why are they coming here?"

"They're already there. They went to talk to Bridget."

I swerve between two vehicles, turn, and horns blare. I step on the gas. "Why?"

"I'm not entirely sure. Liam said Finn wasn't talking. It's not my business, but I'm not stupid. I know something is going on between you and Bridget."

I grind my molars, saying nothing. Until this issue came up at the port, I've forced myself not to contact her.

"Anyway, I thought you should know. I still don't know why she did what she did, and Finn has his reasons to be pissed, but when I spoke to her last, she was kind of a mess. I thought you'd want to know," Killian states.

I let out a breath. "I do. Thanks." I hang up and accelerate, weaving in and out of traffic, ignoring red lights and stop signs.

When I get through the O'Connor gate, I don't knock. I pass the guard and open the door, yelling, "Finn!"

The door to Tully's office opens. Finn pokes his head out and asks, "Why are you shouting?"

"Where's Bridget?"

"In the den with Brenna. Why?"

"What do you want with her?"
