He tugged her, pulled her close, then marched several steps forward.
“Hey.”
She gripped his shoulders.
“Here.” He set her down.
She landed with a bump, the sand here harder than she’d expected it to be.
“You like running off?” he said, not releasing her.
“I wasn’t. I was just getting on with our day.”
“Ourday?”
“I told you I was coming with you.”
“So you did.”
Chapter Twelve
Erik released her assuddenly as he’d taken a hold of her. “Let it be known, Tali alerted me of what you were doing. He wouldn’t have let you leave otherwise.”
“I have no doubt of that. You all seem very keen to know my exact whereabouts.”
“What’s got your goat this morn?”
She frowned up at him as she stomped through the sand.
“Ingrid. Tell me.”
“Look at it from my position. I’m a princess—”
“You mentioned that.”
She frowned. “And I have three big brutish Vikings looming over my every move and waiting for me to slip up so they can redden my ass. And also—”
