Arianna: All this over a couch?
Ryleigh: And the lamps. Don’t forget the lamps
Arianna: You are a weirdo
Arianna: We still good for tomorrow night?
Ryleigh: Absolutely! I bought myself a new dress to wear and everything
Arianna: Does this guy know it’s a date?
Ryleigh: Um…
Arianna: Got it. You go under the guise of a business dinner and then dazzle him with your beauty.
Ryleigh: LOL! I’ve never wowed anyone with my beauty. Trust me
Arianna: You have. Trust ME. You just don’t pay attention
Ryleigh: This I’ve got to hear
Arianna: I’ll call you later. I’ve got a patient on their way in. Love you!
There were multiple heart emojis sent as a response and as much as she couldn’t wait to get home and see her new sofa and how pretty it looked with her sparkly lamps, now wasn’t the time to get all amped up. Meeting with cancer patients and administering radiation was a delicate matter and it required her to go in with a level head.
And total focus.
Later she could gush over all the pretty things, but for now, her attention was fully on caring for her patient.
Thursday:
Arianna: Hey! How did the meeting go with cute guy?
Ryleigh: Ugh
Arianna: That’s it? Just ugh?
Ryleigh: He was just ridiculously boring. I swear I almost fell asleep in the French onion soup
Arianna: LOL!
Arianna: Sorry
Ryleigh: It’s okay. I’m still going to work on his site, but there will not be a second date
Ryleigh: How was the cruise?
Arianna: SO GOOD!
Ryleigh: Seriously? How is that possible?
Arianna: Because I was with Will and it reminded me of the Bay cruise and I just seriously love being with
him!
Ryleigh: See? You would have missed all of this if you had taken that job in Durham
Arianna: Yes, yes, you were right. There. Does that make you happy?
