Not that Elijah and I really have a mother/son relationship. Hehasa mom, and while she may not be perfect, I’d never try to take her place. Maybe it’s because we’re so close in age, but I think of him more as a little brother or friend now that I’m officiallynothis nanny.

Luckily, while Elijah may not need a nanny anymore, he still has the sense of humor of a twelve-year-old boy. So when I tell him that I want to play a joke on his dad, he doesn’t ask any questions—and thank God for that. Because the package he’s going to make sure Drew finds?

It contains a sex toy. Or half of one to be exact. And I’d die if he found out the kinds of games Drew and I play.

He does have one objection, though. “This package is addressed toyou, Anna. How am I supposed to make sure he opens it?”

“Trust me, buddy. He’ll open it. Your dad is too nosy to resist.”

Instead of logging in to the test account as I usually would, I enter my brother’s credentials. The carousel of beauties slides across my screen. I skim their profiles, looking for red flags, but they’re all legit.

While none of these women compare to my wife, most of them are beyond eligible. More importantly, they’re allreal. Whatever Jared may claim, Twinge doesn’t have a problem with fake accounts.

Feeling the beginnings of a headache forming, I close out of Twinge and pull up the tracking software. Both Elijah's and Anna’s phones are at home. Good. That must mean that Anna’s graduation rehearsal finished early.

I switch to the camera feed. I find Elijah in the kitchen, an obscene pile of sandwiches stacked on a plate in front of him. Typical. Anna, on the other hand, is nowhere to be found…

Heart pounding, I check the tracking software again. Both her phone and her car are listed as being at home, and her phone is connected to the Wi-Fi.

I barely pause as I pass Heather’s office on my way to the stairs. “Working the rest of the day from home,” I call out, hurrying down the hall.

My assistant steps in front of me, blocking my path. “Did you look into the bug Jared found?”

“There’s no bug,” I snap, attempting to step around her, but to my annoyance she anticipates my move, blocking me again.

“Chill, Drew. You know your wife’s messing with you. How many times are you going to fall for this one? If you don’t come up with something, Jared is gonna—”

“I don’t answer to my brother,” I reply, voice even. “But if you don’t believe me, take another look at the code yourself. There’s nothing wrong with it.”

Not waiting for a reply, I sprint toward the fire door. I reach the parking garage in record time, then rush across town, running more than a few red lights. The monster demands it.

When I reach the house, I find Elijah still in the kitchen. He’s moved on to a massive bowl of Lucky Charms.

“Where’s Anna?” I demand by way of greeting.

He rolls his eyes. “No clue, Dad. But a package came for her,” he says, mouth still full of food. “It might be important. A graduation gift or something,” he adds helpfully.

At this, my heart rate slows. Heather was right. False alarm. Because suddenly, I know exactly where my naughty girl is hiding.

Carefully schooling my features, I take the box into my office without comment. My son is a terrible actor, and my wife isn’t as sneaky as she thinks.

We’re waiting until after Anna graduates to have an actual wedding with all the attendant bells and whistles my gorgeous girl deserves, but we married at city hall in a private ceremony a few days after I proposed. I never pretended that I stopped stalking her after the ceremony, so it’s amusing that she thinks she can hide anything from me.

Still, I’m surprised that she’d involve my son in her latest sex game. Although it’s obvious that Elijah has no idea what’s in this box. Not bothering to be careful, I slice through the packing tape—and frown.

Beneath the item I was expecting to find—the remote control for Anna’s new vibrator—is another that’s more puzzling. A vintage band T-shirt. The cover of Nirvana’sNevermindto be exact, the one with a baby on it.

A baby…

Heart pounding, I take the T-shirt out of the box and unfold it. A photograph flutters onto the desk. And not just any photograph—an ultrasound photo.

Holy fuck. How the hell did my clever girl manage to keep this from me? Not only did she trick me into thinking she was still taking her birth control pills, she managed to see an obstetrician without me finding out. I’m going to have to up my game…

Locking the office door, I eye the remote contemplatively. While I intend to make good use of it during the graduation ceremony tomorrow, now’s not the time. I move aside the painting, my cock stiffening in anticipation as I enter the code for the only room in the housenotunder video surveillance.
