“Anything.”

“One day, in the future, when I ask you a similar, but much more important question, don’t joke with a no, okay? Just say yes.” He barely breathed out the words.

Sam was frozen. He couldn’t have meant what she thought he did. That would be absolutely and totally insane. She blinked her eyes a few times, trying to figure out how to respond as he stood and pulled her along with him.

“Come on. I need to get you home so I can spend the next hour between your legs as promised.”

Chapter 50 - Sam

The ride back to Callum’s place wasn’t quite as frantic as it had been the previous night. This time, he slowly tortured her as he lightly ran his fingers across every portion of skin he could reach.

She wanted to enjoy every second of it, but her mind was slightly distracted by what he’d said before.

“What’s wrong?” he murmured against her neck.

“Nothing.”

“Samantha Williams…”

At this point, she knew she couldn’t hide a thing from him. Why even try? She turned to face him then.

“I don’t think you’re real.”

His lips pulled upward in an amused smirk. “I’m not real?”

“Sometimes you say things and it just doesn’t feel real. It’s like you’re a fictional boy in one of my books.”

“I’m not sure how to take that.” He laughed nervously.

“You’re perfect, Callum. You are absolutely and totally perfect.”

She kissed him then.

When they entered the house, it was quiet and dark.

“I guess we’re all alone,” Sam observed as they made their way to Callum’s room.

“Try not to wake everyone up tonight, okay?” He looked down at her with a smirk.

“No promises.”

She turned to face him just as they entered his room. She wanted to kiss him then, but his finger came up to rest against her lips.

He walked backward and sat back on the bed just as he had done earlier in the evening.

“Take it off.” His voice was a devilish command as he pointed to her dress.

She stood there in contemplation.

Her skin immediately felt as if it were on fire. She wasn’t sure how he was able to do this to her. How he was able to turn her into this person who wore crotchless panties and stripped for him. She hadn’t even opened a book all weekend and she couldn’t remember the last time that had occurred.

“I don’t know why I’m nervous. It’s not like you haven’t seen me before.”

He stood then and walked back to her. “You don’t have to take them off.”

“I want to.”
